Assuming we blow out McNeese, how long do you keep him in the game. Do you let him stay in and soak up confidence and experience or take him out? I personally would keep him in until the clock hits zeros. He needs all the time he can get before Miss St and Auburn.

Depends upon how well he and the offense are clicking and performing. If it's all running like clockwork, pull him in the middle of the 3rd. If not, give him the whole game. Jennings isn't some green backup, so I don't the see the urgency in getting him snaps.

All 4 quarters let him air it out also. He has got to gain confidence in his passing before SEC games start. frick that vanilla bs and running the ball all game. This has gotten us nowhere.

No reason to give footage to Moo St. Lot of simple easy throws.

Our offensive play is a question mark, but yea lets hold back to not give Moo state footage.

You're an idiot

The entire game, he needs as many real world reps as possible.

Whole game. He needs the experience more than Jennings and we should try to redshirt McMillian.

Yes these simple throws some talk about seem to be not very simple for some of our recent qb's minus Metts.

So what do you mean by give up?
Stop trying?
Fake their blocks? (hoping the all seeing eye of he camera doesn't catch them)
Loaf?

Why would they do this? You must have a theory as to why. Tell us why they would "quit".

Thank you.

And if our offensive play is a question mark.. Why give an opponent with a shot to beat us a clear example of what our question marks are.

You think the offense is going to fix all their problems against a FCS opponent? You don't think the first team defense doesn't give them enough time against a quality defense?

Tom Brady threw what.. 4 passes in the preseason game last night. Would he ever do that during the regular season? No. There's no reason to risk anything when it's not necessary at all. I guarantee you from the average person's view Saturday that this game will look like LSU will lose 8 games this year. It's going to look ugly because of what they're trying to accomplish. I'll make a bet with if you'd like. I guarantee you they won't be running LF deep into the fourth quarter and throwing bombs all game

We know that the first few plays of the initial series will be scripted as in every game. It is highly possible that a lot of the game is also scripted, much like scrimmages are. This game is a run through for all elements of the team from players, to coaches, to sideline discipline, to communication, etc.

He needs the whole game, the following week is a huge game just like every weekend in the SEC West. Get him in his comfort zone

I'll have to give way to all of you who have had way more major college coaching experience than I have. I just wouldn't want my starters to be in there too much after the game is decided.
Why risk injury? A few extra plays after the score is way out of hand isn't likely to provide much more experience. Unlike some of you I don't think that the opponent ever stops trying. These are competitive individuals, not some sissy bois that run to mommy every time the going gets rough. Think about it. What better morale booster for a team that is down by a half dozen scores or more than to take out the other guy's starter. (legally of course) I'd rather not take the chance.
