3 to 5

It seems absurd to have such high expectations. Particularly for a program that has gone 11-12 over the last two seasons. However, Saban won a NC in year 4; Miles in year 3 (played for another in year 7); Orgeron in year 3 (maybe 3.5 if you want to consider his interim season). Thus, those expectations may not be all that absurd and is a reason LSU is one of the best jobs in all of college football. Name another school over the last 30+ years that has had three different HC's win a National Championship period...let alone within 4 years of taking the job.

That is why Kelly is here. History says not only that you CAN win a championship at LSU...but that you WILL win a championship at LSU.

I like his comment on how he identified where the air was leaking out of the tires last two years

We will be in the mix immediately. Ball will have to bounce our way to win it all. Many never happen. I’ll be happy to be in mix every year

Depends on how dirty we get with NIL and right now, it's not going to be good enough. So, as of now 0. Start getting dirty with NIL and with a coach who can actually coach unlike our previous 2, sky is the limit.

You're getting a pretty big power shift right now at the very minimum temporarily. All the money schools are just eating the recruits up and now you have several others throwing in like TAMU.

It’s really sad if we don’t do what is needed with NIL.

If we have not won an sec championship AND been in the playoffs by the completion 2026 season, he will be fired.

His pathway to a natty has to be through the OL & DL.

That is where we haven’t been dominant for some time. 2019 was good not great for the lines. Good enough to win with elite QB play to cover up deficiencies.

But Burrow’s do not grow on trees. We need uglies to dominate. I think Kelly understands this.

My meter for if he is close to competing is when we start reeling big OL & DL via recruits or portal.

I think the Kelly experiment will need a year or two before we can get a decent idea of the direction of the program.
