Just as I expected. Most of the O bashers haven't even been watching the games. They are just bitching to bitch! It has been a completely different team since O took over. He ain't sex but he has energized the program! This was certainly a season of what could have been but, guess what, it's over now and you missed it!

O has ceded that level of power/control and has no philosophy/scheme for the OC to fall into.
How do you know this? Your making an assumption. We don't know anything about what O wants to see as an offensive philosophy aside from a couple sentences in his introductory press conference.
As I said before, let's give him an off-season and at least a couple games before we start tearing down any philosophy he may or may not have. Right now everything is a guess.

It's the exact same hire.
Ed has more ethical problems. He fits in with Louisiana's history of letting big colorful personalities mask their back scratching & crooked politics/behavior and will use it to his personal advantage over the school's.
Les always seemed to be in a fog & lost - more of a ignorance is bliss than participating in it.
Ed will find a way to get his guy into compliance and start chipping away at that.
We laughed at Tennessee for bringing in Kiffin and Ed (most thought Ed hated LSU back then but now it was always love) and said TN dug their own grave hiring them, but now many applaud hiring of Kiffin disciple & believe that there were only 2 other capable coaches better than him in entire country while also hoping Kiffin gets hired as on top of forgetting Kiffin's ethics Ed is apparently not good enough without strong coordinators capable of running their area with little help or oversight of the head coach. This part does sound too familiar to the poor excuse some used for Les that Les was just the head coach not a coordinator or the players on the field which if true for Ed he should only be 3rd highest paid member on his staff if not 4th if we get full team special teams coach.

I agree
I have come to terms with it though, and am now looking for the positive things

You have no clue as to what that philosophy will be none. But you are in this thread making statements of absolutes like you have this deep insight to the mind of Ed Orgeron. I get it you and all the other intellectually superior people think he is stupid because to you he talks funny. As one poster put it I can't understand a thing he says. A good coach should be able to adapt to any philosophy. So in the same breath, you are criticizing Ed Orgeron for a perceived lack of focused offensive philosophy, but you will praise Nick Saban for changing his from a pro style to spread look scheme. Double standard. But it fits the agenda doesn't it.

How is O different than Miles?
O trusts his players and his coaches to do their job.
O prepares.
O adapts.
O can manage the game from the sidelines.
O doesn't try to run out the clock up 7 in the second quarter.
O can clap without looking like a special ed. student.

i'm half cajun, baw
i think he's stupid in football terms b/c he's been a HC once and was an utter disaster adn has never shown the football mind capable of even running a defense. it has nothing to do with his accent

Saban has an overriding offensive philosophy that both fall within

1. Clock management.
2. Lack of miles ineptitude
3.Doesn't speak in tongues. (The accent joke is lame. If you can't understand him clean the wax out your ears)
4.he's serious when Miles was a joker

You read the binder?
You act like you think of yourself as really smart but come across as an idiot. Your are making assumptions to argue against. That's just useless.

what is the point of our HC taking a sub-standard salary and busting the market for coordinators?

Posters on here that actually believe a career dline coach is a better coach than Miles dont know shite about cfb.
Miles took a shite Oklahoma state program and made them respectable. Ed orgeron wouldnt get interviews at kentucky, vandy,or miss st.
