NIL really didnt change much, kids were already getting paid. It's the transfer portal that blew the roof off. It's open free agency every off season

I’ve heard from enough legit guys to believe the $13 million for Rashada was legit

It is just not in the context of how it's being presented. If you browse UF boards and other boards it's pretty clear part of that 13 mil is money thought to be owed to Miami's booster extraordinaire. There's reportedly contracts to back up the claims. Enough fear from UF from a legal standpoint to back out of their part. Don't think it's a matter of do they win in court but if it's worth the fight. If true they made the correct decision to bail and take the media hit.

Is he off? Do they have more money?
Because they are not spending it on people like Jaylen Rasheeda...

Most of our portal players are ones looking for a move up in brand or opportunity to try to better their chance in the draft. Either they were not getting playing time where they were or they were from a lesser program. I am sure there are some exceptions. Curious how Denver Harris deal went down.

These kids are getting 1099's this month for last year. How many have held cash back for taxes??

Over Under is 5%

I would take the over on this all day. At least if we are talking about players at top programs.

Financial education is a huge focus for the schools right now. In fact, many (if not most) of the state NIL laws explicitly require teams to provide personal financial literacy courses to all incoming players.

I would also bet that a lot of these contracts are set up for withholding anyway, for this exact reason. The boosters don’t want to see players get into tax trouble either.

I’m sure there will be a fair amount of players who frick up anyway, but I doubt it’s anywhere near 95% of them.

The idea that every player is getting big money out of the portal is overblown.

Someone like Speights likely gets $60k. It’s a one year contract and his draft stock has potential to explode because he’s now at LSU.

Moscana said that LSU NIL collective only had 2 million

This is dumb. I know one booster who has committed to 1 million over 2 years. So that's $500k from one guy 99.999% of you have never even heard of. He's just a former player who had some success in business. And there's a bunch of guys like this.

what if I told you LSU signed a former top 40 overall QB prospect that started three years in the P5, and he didn't get any NIL deals until 8 games into his LSU career?

I believe this. Kelly also views it differently.

Perkins for one took way less to come to lsu.

Can you explain further?

You are right. I was at a function two nights ago, at which Kelly and Woodward spoke. Woodward mentioned that some of the well-heeled in the audience should consider joining “one of the collectives”.

And there are several wealthy guys chipping in big money who you might not know about. I know it - actually I surmise it - because I saw Woodward and Kelly kissing their asses.

Moscona is a buffoon and always has been. Many on this board are just stupid and talk about things while being 100% incorrect and Moscona is typical of that mindset.

LSU has hundreds of millions available in TAF. Google it. Tax returns from 2020 prove it with Net Assets of over $267,000,000.
