They had what 23-24 turnovers against an ok Minn team. If they are that sloppy against LSU then we definitely beat them

Maryland was a tough matchup for us because they have two great bigs that matched-up well with KBW and Reid. Michigan State doesn’t have that. They have 1 guy over 6’8” that averages more than 10 min/game, and he’s only 6’9”. I think Reid and KBW take this game over on the offensive glass.

The same way we beat Tennessee and Kentucky.

Our boys seem to get complacent at times when they get ahead. You haven't noticed that, yet? They play as hard as they have to, when they have to.

Auburn is beating Kansas by 20 as I type this. There's no way we could EVER beat Auburn. Oh, wait.. we already did.

You see how that works?

This is how:

Naz Reid is 6'10
Kavell is 6'11

Their tallest player is Nick Ward at 6'8. They've been able to out-muscle most other teams with their size, but now they are the smaller team.

I think we physically can play with/beat Michigan St.

My big concern is what happens when Izzo starts making 2nd half adjustments.
I'm not in the huddle, but it sure seemed like Waters/Mays/Smart made the adjustment to the zone on the court, and not Benford countering from the bench.

It's great that we have good guard play, but I wish we had Wade playing chess with the opposing coaches, instead of Benford.

I think we can win, but I’d feel a whole lot better about it if Wade was on the sidelines. Izzo is a good coach. He will be ready. I’m concerned about Benford’s seeming inability to make adjustments. When Maryland changed their defense, he struggled to find ways to attack it. Hell, the game winning play was called by the other assistant coach.

When teams go zone, every single offensive possession should start by getting the ball to Reid on the elbow. Run Taylor along the baseline for a weak side ally if it’s open and spot up waters, days and/or smart on the perimeter with KBW ready to crash the boards.
