There is no doubt they are playing great ball right now but they were a hair from losing 2/3 to south Carolina at home last weekend. They are far from a buzzsaw. Series will be tough on the road.

Getting a Top 8 seed is what matters most. 18 wins has you in the conversation.
This is not including having SEC Tourney wins added to your total. The committee has started to value that number more of late.
I can’t see a world where SEC doesn’t get at least 4 Top 8 seeds. I think a 5th is possible.

2-1 is a really good weekend against a quality team on the road and at home.
1-2 at TAMU will be a good weekend.
2-1 versus a quality Arky team at home will be a good weekend
1-2 versus Tenner at home would be acceptable based on their pitching. Not a great match-up.
2-1 on the road vs SCe is probable
That’s assuming they win today.
Before the season I predicted 16-22 wins and 18 being likely+~ 1 on either side would be good.

I agree, and I hope like hell we can take 2 from Tennessee though because I do believe we’ll drop 2 at A&M. I also feel at South Carolina to close out will be tougher than we think. I’d love to finish with 19 wins and top 4 seed in sec tournament.

Correct we agree on all points. Just pointing out that anyway saying that is “best case” is a pussy. That’s all the point of my post was lol. Not arguing that that isn’t the “most likely” end point. Just that it is absolutely not best case.

Top 4 seed in SEC is what matters most. If 18 wins is what it takes, then so be it. Top 4 SEC team with this leagues RPI is a national host.

Historically we usually get hot after Tax Day ( (April 15th). I see us getting the sweep today and either sweeping Arkansas or South Carolina. 20 SEC wins is very possible especially if the bats start getting hot. I really think Schmidt will be your 3rd day starter and Rizzy, Ware,Williams and Shores will give us more depth in the bull pen to win the SEC Tourney.

I guess you’re saying best case is win them all then. How the hell is that legitimately not the best case?
Then you come back hoping for 20? How about we can agree that the best case is win every single game here on out but that doesn’t look good right now does it.
That’s the only “best case” by your use of the term. The next is most credible or likely case. Not best case.
