Not as big of a loss as it’s been made out to be.

If anything, more of a numbers loss

LSU SC Film Study

Mad King go to the 2 min mark of that video. This guy confirms what I said about the slant and blitz. Also confirms what I thought that Breaux went too far on his slant and didn’t sit in the proper gap.

Just can’t admit you’re wrong. And yes again 1 man on the DL can slant into another gap. It happens in every football game that is played on Saturday or Sunday multiple times. It’s not rare. It’s generally how teams blitz. Slant a linemen and replace with a blitzing backer. Its football 101.

Dude I told you I didn’t want to argue, wtf is your problem? But that’s ok you’ve talked long enough to expose yourself. A) remember during basketball season when you pretended to be a basketball coach because your arguments suck? Yea, you’re full of shite. B) earlier you told me no were not run blitzing but now you’re arguing with me we are. Yea you’re full of shite. One guy stepping down for a run blitz isn’t a slant dipshit. You don’t know what you’re talking about and you’re trying to big league me? Get lost

That’s actually exactly what a slant in. Lining up in one gap and slanting to another. If I line up in the B gap then slant to the A gap, that’s a slant. Slant, stunt, slam. It’s different words meaning the same thing really.

No you said that LB were having to gamble and blitz bc the DL was getting pushed back 3/4 yards. I stated that was untrue and proved it.

Lastly don’t get butthurt that you don’t know shite. I’ve been more than respectful in this discussion but it always devolves into you getting your feelings hurt and calling people liars. Saying people are redefining terms bc you don’t actually know the meaning of things. You refuse to admit you are wrong about anything even when evidence is put right in front of your face. The guy in the film study says exactly what I tried to explain to you but you ignore it and discredit it bc it doesn’t validate your side. Have fun being wrong yet again. It won’t be the last time this week.

Until next time Madking. It’s getting late for me. Make sure to have your alter ready to downvote anybody that is against you and upvote your stuff. It’s too obvious and sad. Anybody disagrees with you 2 downvotes. Your post 2 upvotes. Noticed that trend in the QB thread earlier when I was on your side. Cute tactic.

DT is the worst position on the field. They’re getting blown 3-4 yards off the ball pretty much anytime the opponent wants.

This is what I don’t know because I haven’t been able to rewatch a game due to travel. Are the LBers screwing up because they can’t find the right gaps, or are the DTs being pushed off the ball? If it’s the latter, then that’s very hard on a LB because he has to hunt and peck laterally, and that’s no good.

Certainly that second long TD run by USCe looked like Whit Weeks trying to do too much, but even on that run I don’t know the assignments. Remember how this board was near unanimous that Omar Speights was horrible, then he started game one of his rookie NFL season?

The reason we’re having to run blitz so much and the reason those guys are having to take so many risks is because our DTs are so bad. Any run from guard to guard gets 4-5 yards unless we’re sending guys or LBs take gambles to try and stop it.

This is true. No one wants to admit it.
Everyone keeps saying the longs runs wasn't on the DL but when you got holes like that to run through that is somewhat on the DL.
That means they got blew off the ball.

Just not true. Multiple posters in multiple threads have explained that the vast majority of the yardage given up against SC were bust in assignments. We’ve even broken down the individual plays. Hopefully we continue to improve so these bust don’t happen but putting it on the interior DL is dishonest. Now over the course of the season I see where the interior Dline could be an issue for us but they weren’t against SC.

Yep, they want you to repeat the lie that other than 2 long runs we shut them down but in reality they gashed us for a few chunk plays. One where Suggs got blown 4 yards back and created a huge lane. Hell the one where the QB broke the long TD Suggs got rag dolled across the field while the other DT got chicken flipped but redfish will just tell you it was a called slant to the ground so that the turf monster could make the tackle.

BK and Dickson and TBob all said the same thing I’m saying. DTs are losing gap integrity which is a nice was of saying they’re getting their clocks cleaned.
