To slow, or not to slow ... that is the question

He doesn't have elite lateral quickness but he largely makes up for that with great instincts and anticipation. Keys is developing nicely as cover for Weeks weaknesses.

Disappears a lot due to elite game speed

I don't get the argument that Weeks is slow. I'd be shocked if he doesn't test relatively highly with speed.

He's first team SEC as a sophomore. What more must he do to prove his worthiness?
Who cares if he's an NFL prospect. He's a damn good LSU player and well respected. Whatever life throws at him in the future he'll be good at.

He isnt too slow, his play strength is more of an issue with regards to navigating plays. That said he has a lot of things teams will look for in a professional LBer

Fair question and I've asked myself this.

Yes, he'd be welcome on my team anytime. Leader, player and stud.

Means fracture dislocation. The ankle doesn’t dislocate unless you break 2-3 of the bony ends of the tibia/fibula. He has a trimallelor fracture and will need plates & screws to fix it.

Will he necessarily lose any athleticism?

He’s kinda small for an NFL MLB, but serviceable nonetheless. I wonder what his top end speed looks like as well as his cover ability. If that dude can cover a TE, he’d be an animal as a SS.

I don’t think so. Much easier recovery of function than a bagged ACL/multiple knee ligaments. That’s what I was most worried about when he initially went down.

He will probably end up around 230-235 when he leaves college. That's average MLB size now.

Said he will be back for Spring ball. That is in three months.
IMO we don't need him for the spring we need him on August 30th when we go to Clemson.

I am no means a Dr or trainer and ankle fractures can be completely different from injury to injury. Daughter had an ankle fracture with 3 dislocated bones. Multiple surgeries to move bones back into place, was off her foot for 2 months and didn’t resume figure skating for 7 months. The swelling in her foot as she started with pt was crazy. I was told it was because of all the soft tissue in the area. Best of luck to this young man and I hope for a fast and healthy recovery.
