North western state lost to an NAIA team. I know dropping 80 is impressive but it’s against a team most top end HS teams would beat soundly.

Northwestern will lose to Grambling or Southern. We can't really make an honest assessment if Tech is good or some pretenders.

They beat up on an FCS school that lost to an NAIA school. An FCS school hasn't lost to an NAIA school since 2011.
The fact that La Tech let them score 6 on them is embarrassing, IMO.

It has been mentioned on here before. But the SEC issues have galvanized this team. The "us vs the world" mentality appears to be very real on this team.
Unfortunately for Tech, they are part of "the world" and Kiffin et al are going to exorcise an awful lot of frustration this week. I almost feel bad they're going to be on the receiving end of it... almost.

I think the worst thing for Tech is the fact they scored 80 points last week. From what I saw on Saturday this defense is going to take that as a challenge. Zero chance they will be taking this game lightly or looking ahead to next week. This defense wants to leave no doubt they are the best in the nation.
If they had scored 20 or 30 then that’s not a huge deal. But now they have an opportunity to go out and prove it’s not a fluke. And seeing how pissed Baker was at the 3rd string giving up a late TD, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tech puts up 7 or less.
