Excitement of LSU football because LSU football - 10
Excitement of the product to be put on the field - 2 or 3
Excitement about the people behind the scenes - 0

Average of 4-ish.

Or judge my excitement by my new TAF donation amount....

I have 2 season tickets I’ve had for 4 years and I want to give them up but I’d feel like a fair whether fan. Im doing a raffle with all of them to benefit the children’s hospital in Nola where my wife is a pediatrician. I’m gonna do my tailgate and have fun but expect zero success out of this team.

With that said I have been offered free tickets to the Bama game in the lower bowl. Couldn’t find them for less than 500 a couple of years ago.

God damn.

I think we’re capable of 10-11 wins.

Oh I never said we weren’t capable. I just said I have no confidence we will get to see the best these players could be because of a lack of leadership and focus starting at the top.

It’s the CheeriOs that will post for days about all the deficiencies on our roster our poor HC has been burdened with trying to overcome.

With our defense and Aranda, 9-3 should be the absolute floor for expectations for this team.

But if this team underachieves, yet again, we’ll hear nothing but excuses, yet again, in the aftermath that the talent wasn’t there to compete against such a difficult schedule.

Any posters that tries to defend his 1 year kicker mercenary over Mario Goodrich should be taken as seriously as the poster that said Arnsbarger is better than Saban.

After his 1.5 million dollar fuch up its now O’s team and his staff. Also his goddamn fault that we didn’t land a corner.

LSU football is one of my favorite things in the world...I look forward to it all year long. We still have the dog days of summer to endure before I can saddle up for a Saturday of tailgating, so my excitement level is pretty low right now...I'd say a 5/10.

When we get to mid august, I will be up to about a 9/10 and plan to enjoy the campaign until the bowl game.

The only thing that really ruins it for me is the negativity of our "fans"

I'm at a 5 because I don't know what to expect on offense, but I'm excited for the defense.

10. Love LSU football and college football in general. My life doesn’t revolve on how well 18-20 year olds perform in a sport for entertainment purposes

Translation: “I don’t donate enough to the athletic department to get pissed when our money is squandered and the most exciting product possible isn’t put on the field for entertainment purposes.”

Yea, it’s a game. No, winning has absolutely no tangible benefit at all. But the competence of our athletic department is still a reflection of the competence of our university administration and state legislators. And there is a LOT of real world money being made and lost on football which has a very tangible effect on LSU, and in turn, many of our children’s future educations.

There’s no reason that we shouldn’t strive to be the best in an industry that grosses our school a hundred million dollars per year.

I'll go with 8.5. I think we have some of the best talent in the trenches than we have had in years. Defense is going to be very strong. Offense all depends on how good Narcisse or Brennan will be this year. I really like what Ensminger did with the offense when he was the interim OC, so super pumped about him as OC. I think we are finally going to see an OC call a game the way we have always been hoping for. The only thing that worries me is this schedule. Bama is going to be tougher than they have ever been with Tagovailoa. Not having a really good QB was what made them vulnerable in the past to where they could be beaten. Georgia may be just as good. Anyway, I can't wait for the season to start. (the only reason I give it a 8.5 instead 10 is because the fan base sucks so bad. Takes some of the fun out of LSU football.)

at coaching or at recruiting? Saban has no equal when it comes to recruiting. He's been able to put together the greatest collection of college players year after year. Just based on pure coaching (and taking out the recruiting element) there are plenty of coaches as good or better.

you seriously under estimate the importance of a good FG kicker. If anything we maybe could have left off maybe that dt from Houston, Livingston, (he was a late commit) then we could have just made straight up offers to all 3, Goodrich, Surtain, and Foster.
