They don't.
Much was required, yes, but it didn't hurt that both losses were in OT and the other 2-loss team in consideration was Va Tech, which LSU had sent home screaming for mama 48-7. If tech hadn't lost to Boston College late (I think they gave up a TD in the final 2 minutes to lose 14-10) they might well have gone in with only one loss, albeit a 48-7 one.

Ohio state has played ugly plenty of times this year, but Urban knows how to coach them up. They will beat Michigan...

you need to check yourself, dude. I hope lsu makes it to the playoff every year. I don't care how good bama is. I feel pretty strongly even after losing to them that LSU is one of the few who can contend with Bama.

Ya but it is better to go to a Bowl game they can win this year. LSU is the second best team in SEC, we already know that.
