How does LSU go to the playoffs?

Likely playoff rankings after last weekend:
1. Bama
2. Clemson
3. Notre Dame
4. Michigan
5. Georgia
6. OU
7. Washington State
8. LSU
9. Ohio State
10. UCF
How does LSU reach #4?
1. Bama - WINS OUT
2. Clemson - WINS OUT
3. Notre Dame - WINS OUT
4. Michigan - loses to OSU this weekend
5. Georgia - loses SEC Championship to Bama
6. OU - loses to WVU this weekend
7. Washington State - loses to Washington this weekend -or- loses PAC12 Championship to Utah
8. LSU - beats aTm
9. Ohio State - beats Michigan AND loses to NW in Big10 Championship
10. UCF - loses to USF or Houston/Memphis in AAC Championship
Folks, more had to happen in '07...
*Note: yes, ND can lose to SC, but LSU is not likely at all to jump them. It is a possibility though.

Ohio State needs to beat Michigan. That may not do it by itself, but that would be a big part of the puzzle.

hey guy, the poll isn't out until tomorrow. I used the term likely. This means that I think Wazzu will jump LSU after last weekend. Is that spelled out enough for you?

Would need the following to happen to have a shot at a playoff spot... Based off of FPI results below we have roughly a 5% chance of making the playoffs.
1. Alabama (11-0)
2. Clemson (11-0)
3. ND (11-0)
4. Michigan (10-1) must lose to OSU 45%
5. Georgia (10-1) must lose to UA 65%
6. Oklahoma (10-1) must lose to WVU 50%
7. LSU (9-2) must win @ A&M 45%
8. WSU (10-1) must lose to UW 55%

No it doesn't. They could, but it depends on whether the committee thinks LSU is a better team than WSU or not.
