How did we almost beat Bama with Anthony Jennings as our quarterback?

I was thinking about our losing streak to Bama and we should have won this game along with 2012. The 2014 game we had Anthony Jennings about to lead us to victory if it wasn’t for a stupid penalty the ref called and our kicker kicking the ball out of bounds on the kickoff.
We now have a real quarterback! This is the year we beat Bama with Joe freaking Burrow and that Bama defense is not the same as other Bama years. If our oline can protect Burrow we will win this game.

Literally watched the entire game last night. We were tied 10-10 with 1:07 and the ball on 7. Unbelievable

if he would have tucked it and ran, he would have scored and won.

the field wide open in front of him, but his receivers weren't.

the whole south endzone yelled "RUN" at the same time. he threw.

That was before Bama evolved on offense and tried to run it just like we’ve done for 8 years

rewatched the 2017 game earlier. sickening how many jet sweeps and runs right up the middle there were. plus all the etling over/under throws. defense absolutely balled out

Was at that 2014 game, total blown ending. Spearing wasn’t called on Reuben Foster at the end of regulation either.

The refs throwing the PF penalty on Alexander was a joke.

We had zero business losing the 2012 & 2014 games

The infamous screen never happens if Mettenberger is given the opportunity to get one more 1st down on our last drive. They could not stop him in the 4th.

Refs & conservative Les cost us 2014

That should at least been offsetting penalties.

I know you always have to secure the ball first but Beckwith could have easily scooped that fumble up and walked in for a TD. There was no risk of Alabama recovering that fumble. He had LSU guys all around him.

Ball on the 7 then a BOGUS personal foul call.

He was pushing a guy literally still trying to tackle him, an OL

It gets forgotten but it’s one of the worst calls in the series with the PP7 pick.

At the end of the day we lost 2012 and 2014 because we failed to stop them when we had the lead.

You can rehash wuddas-cuddas-shuddas until you’re blue in the face—bottom line you deal with—and handle—the reality in front of you when the game is coming to an end.

Yep - ran upstairs, woke my wife up - “we finally did it” - never again....

Note: She’s a huge fan but swore off Bama games while les was still at the helm.

Les Miles was chicken shite to try and pooch kick the ball to one extreme side of the field, which resulted in a kick out of bounds. Then (in typical LM fashion), he has this "wtf just happened and what the hell am I doing here" look on his face after it happened. I'm SO glad that half-tard is gone.
