He always throws like that.

He was completing 70% of his passes coming into yesterday.

You must've missed the Ole Miss game...and Georgia...and the 2nd half of the Bama game...

But seriously, Chavis calls a totally different game against aTm. Two years in a row... Our D played really good. The Aggie receivers also dropped a number of passes (including an easy TD early) and Johnny Football was noticeably off at times. It also helped that they only ran the ball on designed runs six times. They were completely predictable. Still, I got to give credit to Chavis. Who else has stopped that team?

LSU's pressure was not very good. Their coverage was really good at times.

When is the last time you remember seeing Welter on the QB's tail? We had some nice pressure at times that we don't normally have and it caused issues for aTm. And I agree that the coverage was much better than it has been because he couldn't find anyone to throw to at times when we weren't pressuring him.

we flushed him with the blitz, but when our DL sacked him, it was coverage sacks.

We were hellbent on not letting him outside. He never got outside the ends. It flustered him as he wasn't able to roll out or run for yards to the corner. It's his entire game. We made him stay in the pocket and he simply isn't capable of being that sort of player.

We figured it out. And we have the athletes to make it happen.

manziel was not pressured that much, the downfield coverage was good.

but when the d-line couldn't get any pressure, and he had a clean pocket, he was really bad. everyone in the stands around me were talking about it as well.. he wasn't the same manziel.

Yeah, we haven't been doing that. I think that helped (along with the good coverage you mentioned obviously).

....just throwing this out there, but the common theme in both games against Manziel was a strong wind. Maybe Johnny is more affected by it.

Chavis' D is designed to stop mobile offenses. He typically has smallish LB's and DEs It is less effective against power running teams like Bama. When he was at Tennessee, Nebraska's power running game ran all over his D.

1) Timing is everything. Our young talented DB's had more game experience under their belt in comparison to Bama's

2) More time to scheme with more 2013 film

3) Home for us versus on road for Bama.

Easy stuff, folks, Easy stuff.
