Jarrett Lee has always been better than anyone else when wearing the magical "I Know That You Can't Hit Me" Green Jersey.
He is probably a really good passer in Flag Football, too.
But, when he knows that he might get hit, .... well, fuhgettaboutit! His whole game falls apart.
bingo
btw, JL wasn't just bad guys, rather the dude wrote fricking NCAA CAREER history for pick 6's in 7 games.........that is as bad as it gets.
I do wish nothing but the best for him and give him HUGE credit for sticking in there. Hell, it could pan out to be the prime Cinderella story in the country this year.....who knows.
I still want JJ in there at first.

i never see them slip a blurb into every Charles Scott story that RIchard Murphy runs through rope drills better than him. The fact is they get to see basically none of the real practice and havent scouted anything other than the local Mary Lee's yet feel the need to say Lee is better at least a couple times a week for no apparent reason.
So what? We all know what Charles Scott is capable of and that he will be the featured back in our running game. We also all know what JL is capable of (good and bad)...yet none of us really have a clue as to how successful JJ is going to be. I read the Advocate daily and I've yet to see in print that JL is a 'better qb' than JJ or that, in the reporters opinion, JL should be our starting qb. Until I read that Crowdon and or Miles are worried about JJ's progress...I have no problem. I actually find this forum more informative and in depth (with a grain or two of salt) than most media outlets...and it is clearly more passionate.

It's because redemption is one of the best story lines in sports.
They're already imagining how the story will write itself should (godforbid) JJ get hurt and Lee comes in and throws like a champ.

what would really suck would be if JJ got hurt, JL comes in and sucks it up

several videos from practice have shown JJ overthrowing 8 yard outs by 4 feet.

I'll take heat, but there's no doubt Lee has a frickin' cannon. Think they should get him some Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn glasses though.

if you saw the video from practice the other day you'd realize this is because Murphy tripped every time he went through the ropes...Scott was perfect

So, have we figured out how bad the local media wants JL to be the starting QB or are we still discussing?
I say on a scale of 1 to 10, their desire ranks at about a "don't give a damn".

Not nearly as badly as a large % of the local TR Geek Squad want to see either "Water Walker" (Jefferson or Sheperd) win the QB job......

that would be a good fark. Jarrett Lee with the Rick Vaughn glasses.

maybe Lee is just better?
Jefferson's body of work isnt that big.

so sports writers that see 20 minutes can tell who is better without a doubt?
Posted on 8/13/09 at 2:01 pm to Lester Earl
Maybe?
But how can that be the case when Miles says at SEC Media Jefferson is the guy?
I'm not a big fan of guys who do great in practice.........
Sure, Jefferson body of work isn't that big, but when the lights were on he protected the football.........
We can't say the same for Lee AT ALL.
