With the big three (FB, BB, Baseball) being in a disappointing rut the last several years, and most recently, 15-16 basketball being the most disappointing team arguably in LSU history, how bad to we need 2016 football to be our saving grace?

With the adjustments made on both sides of the ball, acquisition of new recruits and coaches, and retaining most core positions, 2016 FB is prime to break out. I just don't know if we can handle another disappointment.

Baseball went to Omaha last year and finished in the top 5 of the country. Quit lumping them into the failures of the other two. Did they have two bad games to end their season earlier than we hoped? Yes but a team that makes it to Omaha is not a disappointment.

Agree. Comparing baseball to what just happened in basketball is ridiculous.

I can handle it, I don't know if you can.

LSU fans really need to quit acting like a bunch of spoiled little bitchy brats when it comes to our sports. Have we had some disappointment in recent years? Sure. But every school goes through droughts. And it should make us more thankful during the years that we excel. The year in, year out expectations that our fans place on our teams just because we are LSU are often unfair and detrimental to the teams. The fact is, you're not going to win a title or the SEC or even make the postseason every year.

Now, none of this refers to decisions made by the AD and athletic dept as a whole. Recent decisions and handlings of situations should not be tolerated by the LSU fan base.

So far in just this decade

LSU Football
61-17 record
5 bowl appearances
3 bowl wins
1 National Champ Appearance
1 Heisman Finalist
shite ton of players drafted
shite ton of media recognition

LSU Basketball
horrible stats-needless to say we have not been consistent since Brady

LSU Baseball
281-99 record
4 regional appearances
3 Super regional
2 world series appearances

Softball & Gymnastics has done a great job

Track & Field has taken a step down aside from a couple personal championships awarded.

Our Athletic dept is still profiting thank the lord. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the decade plays out

Well, I guess the major take-a-way here is that what we learn from history is that people don't learn from history, am I right?

Baseball is expected to make Omaha almost every season. Especially with the talent we've had/currently have. The fact we've been 2 and done in Omaha the past few trips have been disappointing.

Not everybody is as fragile as you are.

Personally my happiness and self esteem aren't tied up in the performances of a bunch of post adolescents.
