How bad is the ACC this year?

If you think Clemson is just another ACC team, then you don’t even football. Hope your team has that same mentality. CU the 13th.

The ACC sucks but Clemson is a solid team that will challenge LSU. LSU's advantage is playing several big games at crucial times of the season. That being said, the nc is one game so everything else before is irrelevant.

Well let’s see, the second best team in the conference is a top 10 law school. That should let you know the state of ACC at the moment!

They have a team in the finals for the playoff so I would not take this team lightly.

Look, Clemson played basically this same schedule last year. They won two games in the CFP, running away from Bama. While they are in the ACC that had a really bad year, their recruiting is top 5 year and some cases top 3 since Dabo has been there. They recruit in the same back yards as every SEC school. I would love to be able to say they are overrated. But they aren't. We have to go in and play a great game to beat them. And I am hopeful that we will. But you can't use their schedule as an indicator as to how good they are. Geaux Tigers!!

It’s not about that, dipshit. It’s about the fact that SEC players are on average, bigger, faster, and stronger. Remember your game against OSU? Remember how there were several hits in T Law where it took him a little bit to get off the ground? Yeah, that’s every fricking week in the SEC.

Clemson would be competitive in the SEC, but not putting up the same numbers that they do in the ACC. It’s easy to get up for one game, but you you have to bring your A game just about every week, that’s a different story. Just about every team in the SEC is top 25 in recruiting. There is what, 2 teams in the ACC that is top 35 in recruiting every year? Don’t pretend like it’s the same because it isn’t.

Clemson is a very good team that has only played 1 team with less than 5 losses this year.

No one doubts who they are and why they are here. But lets not twist it, all these stats/offensive and defensive rankings do not tell the whole picture.

Last year Bama self destructed. Let’s not pretend they didn’t. LSU’s offense is not the same animal and Clemson isn’t likely to be so lucky as to have LSU self destruct the same way Alabama did last year. Last year Clemson was the recipient of the perfect storm of events; not to mention the Pick 6 to start the game. Alabama did more to help Clemson than anything Clemson did to help itself. Granted, Clemson was a fantastic football team. Alabama choked ! This you can be certain. Joe Burrow is a completely different cat. He’s got ice in his veins. You should be concerned about if your own team can handle the pressure. LSU fans have seen Burrow handle the nerves time and time again and dismantle defense after defense. Can’t see Clemson posing any challenge he hasn’t seen already. Burrow will identify the defense before the snap. The challenge for Clemson is when LSU decides to go fast is can they get ready before LSU snaps the ball every 22 seconds. That is what is going to happen. Get ready !
