How amazing is it that a Senior pitcher who never batted before this season

A testament to Bain or a condemnation of the rest of our hitters?

I disagree.

It’s a testament to either....

1. He should have been batting for 3 years and coaches misidentified him.

2. He is playing a vital role due to poor recruiting.

He just is fortunate we are so limited on the infield. This year, we have a team full of runts.

He doesn't have the same tournament ball swing as the Jordan boys. He is swinging how it comes naturally to him. Sometimes that is better than being technically sound.

Recruiting has been fine. Slaughter was always a raw player with tons of potential that still hasn't put it together and Bryce hasn't looked the same since coming back from his injury. Those are the two he is playing better than thus giving him a spot.

Props to Bain for working his arse off to earn what he is getting right now. I'm glad to see him contributing.
