I'll be honest. I didn't pay attention to the ticker the entire game. Did it actually say Aranda is leaving or just that he may be reaching a deal with A&M like was reported this afternoon?

It said that Aranda was "expected" to take the A&M job, per Houston Chronicle. But that was apparently old info.

That's what I'm asking. The Houston Chronicle article this afternoon said that A&M was targeting Aranda and a deal may be reached soon. They never said he was for sure leaving. So either ESPN misquoted the article or the rant is misquoting ESPN.
