IMO, the OP is correct. Western Carolina in 2000 was memorable for 2 reasons...the heat and Saban's first game as LSU coach. I distinctly remember it being the most uncomfortable I've ever been including during day games.

App State was by far the hottest. I was at Tenn 05 and Florida last year and both were hot much App State was miserable.

I have officially become a wimp. I'm a season ticket holder. I don't plan on sitting in TS for one of these early Sept. cream puff games if the temp or heat index is 95 or higher. After sitting in the rain twice last year that is getting old too.

This. Hottest game I've ever been to. If you didn't have shades on that day - you literally have no eyes today. BRIGHT AND HOT!

My personal worst even though I've been there in much higher temps.

Appalachian State in 2008 or the Monday night game against Tennessee in 2005 were both miserably hot.

My vote is the 1995 Florida game. (The one when Kennison got a punt return TD called back).

That game was at least as hot as 2000 Western Carolina.

The absolute hottest most miserable LSU sporting event ever was the 2nd and 3rd games of the 2001 Super Regional at Zephyr Field vs the weenies..

That 2000 game was the last game my wife ever attended with me. She pissed and moaned the entire game.

This.

There was also an 11:30 a.m. start vs. Miss. state that was damn hot until the thunderstorms rolled through. The game was actually suspended due to lightning.
