What game were you watching????? He made one decent play. He got beat on 9 other plays.

Why do you think Wisconsin kept throwing the ball to the receiver he was guarding???

Wisconsin knew he was the weakest.

thats how offensive football plans work. Jezzzz

Maybe it is due to his youth

His youth? This was his third season. Second getting significant playing time. He's a veteran player in college football terms.

The issue is, and always has been, that he is a "tweener". He's not quick and instinctive enough to be a CB. He's not big and physical enough to be a safety.

Is it nice, for depth purposes, to have a guy who at least seems to quasi know what he is supposed to be doing? Sure. But if Ryan is the top player in the secondary next season, regardless of position, LSU is still in a lot of trouble. That probably sounds mean. But it is what it is.

Either build them up or find another team to pull for. Unless you're a coach it's hard to tell about a players ability? They might even play with an injury that would prevent most people from getting out of bed! Could be coaches don't have a clue? I don't have a clue. It's easy to say that not many players look like they want any contact but maybe they just don't know what they're supposed to do, "think and react" instead of "See ball, Get ball, Hit person with ball" ...Hard and in unison when possible! Our players in my opinion are not being coached up! Kelly needs to figure this out ASAP!

but I don't think there is much of a drop off at all at corner from Sage to Toviano

Toviano will be a safety. He’s not a CB.

Was discussed earlier in the season they he may redshirt and make the move to safety but depth forced him into playing CB this year.

Toviano is only a true Freshman and he looked good against Alabama. Smith and Ryan just played in their third year.
