I hope for Lee's sake things get better, you can allocate the blame several ways but most importantly it's a shame if this is true. LSU academically can kick your arse, because you can feel like your disappointing your family by not doing well ... now imagine that, on a national stage week in and week out, with somewhere in the realm of 100,000-250,000 people you feel like you're disappointing. This entire team has had the weight of the world on their shoulders, some can handle it better than others, just overall and because they've had more time to get used to it. Lee is 19 yrs old, this time last year when I was that age, I was getting my arse whooped by LSU and if you feel like no one has your back it only makes that so much worse.
So, TO ALL OUR PLAYERS, LSU fans, at least some of them, have your back 100% no matter what.

Jamarcus had a bad habit of locking onto one receiver for two years.

Thank you for your service. But you're in civilian life now. Military is REAL. Football is a GAME. In no way should we as fans question ANYTHING about the MANHOOD or MAKEUP of ANY of these young men.
It's just way above our pay grade.
Just go and enjoy your day at TS and cheer for your Tigers but don't get so negative about it.
It's a GAME.

That's where you are wrong. You have no right to boo a 19 year old kid that decides to come to YOUR school from Texas.

it's not like we are different from any major program in that regard.
And two wrongs don't make a right. You don't pay for a right to boo. It's a privilege to be an LSU fan not a right. Get your priorities straight.

Yeah, he sure turned out shitty for us, didn't he?

I do, even though it's kind of hard sometimes watching this team.

Hearing stuff like this makes me wonder about sports and what value they really have. I'm not sure if this is true but Jarrett is obviously having a difficult time with this. I mean the guy is 19 years old and he has had the weight of the LSU nation on his shoulders and people are constantly nit picking or criticizing and even threatening this man! I am starting to wonder what value LSU football really has; in the grand scheme of life nothing.

Doc, the problem is not every QB is ready to do that as a Fr or RS Fr QB. That doesn't mean the kid can't play. More times than naught, it takes kids a year or even 2 to adjust to the speed of the game. The biggest thing that Lee lacks right now is experience. With Experience usually comes poise, being able to read defenses, learning when to throw it away, etc. Heck, JR struggled even after he left LSU at some of these.
Some may be right, Lee may never do anything. But as fans of this university we should give him every opportunity to be successful.
IMO, the fans didn't do that this year.
As for "We paid our money, we can boo if we want to". Sure you can. Doesn't mean those that do boo aren't immature pricks. But, to each their own. My biggest problem is that it's counter productive, any way you want to look at it. Is it going to make the QB play better, NO. Is it going to make the team play better, NO. Is it going to influence the coach on what to do, NO. No good is going to come from bailing on your players during the game.

what I don't get is the lee apoligists.
did he come here to ride the pine or start?
because if he came here to start, he should have known that he was going to have a ton of pressure being the starting QB of a major college.
does he want to play NFL ball?
I would certainly assume.
and there's a ton more pressure there to perform.
he's young, and hope he gets better and uses this year as a learning experience.

Hey the doc,
I could be mistaken but wasn't it the Auburn game that Hatch went down? Did Lee not take command of the game and lead LSU to victory. Now go bash Auburn too.

Yeah, about 6 months in the #4 slot, about 3 months with some increased practice time once RP was booted, and then about 6 and half hours of actual playing time. Damn! The kid should be a seasoned professional by now!

Off topic...stay on topic, please!! It's not about time in the "system"! It's about a kid that is here to get an education and play football for LSU. He doesn't get paid and is not professional. He could have gone elsewhere.
People like you are never satisfied with anything. And JJ's time in the system makes him a better option than Lee? Reread that statement and realize how idiotic that is. You are saying that a person that has been in the system for 1.5 years needs to be replaced by a kid that has been in the system for 6 months? Were you satisfied with the results on Saturday?
JJ looked like he had no clue. Sure he's pretty athletic and can run around a little, but that's just as good as putting Murphy at QB. That does nothing but get a few oh and ahhs from someone like yourself that knows zero about football.

thats my point.
I remember the comments I used to hear about JR and they were ALOT worse than Lee.

Doc, lighten the frick up on the kid. JJ was not that great against Ole frickin Piss, OK. They shut down the offense in the second half did they not?
So they loaded up the front line, where were the passes to beat that?
Get off Lee's arse. The kid has more victories to his credit than you do.

I feel for Lee ... really I do. No words of wisdom or arguments either way from we ... I just really feel for this 19 year old kid.
Anyone remember at some point Matt Flynn being harasses or something? Something about negative signs or the like in his neighborhood/complex???
Truly this and booing are sucky things to do ...
Geaux get 'em Lee!!!

who is "you guys"? Athletes get booed by fans all the time. They have to have thicker skin than that. But if he's being ostracized BY HIS OWN frickING TEAM, then they all need a good kick in the arse.

He knew that there would be pressure? Absolutly. What he didn't know was that he would be thrown into being the starter as a RSF and take beatings from people like you on messege boards.
I'm a lee apologist because he was set up to fail. Not because I think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Sure he wants to play in the NFL, but the reality of that is slim to none.
