Hope vs Reality

My sense is different from in games like 2019 and 2011. Those I felt LSU was the legit better team. This year I’m not getting myself worked up, but instead hoping for continued progress, consistency and growth.
My hope is, of course, that we minimize mistakes, capitalize on theirs and pull off a stunner.
But the reality is probably that LSU loses something like 34-24. LSU is still 1-2 years away from being a legitimate contender in this series again.
But I’m hoping I’m wrong.

While we are much better today than we were vs Tennessee, we still wouldn't beat Tennessee today.
Nor will we beat Bama today.
They pull away in the 4th and win by 20

I hope you’re right and I’m wrong. Probably a defense mechanism so I don’t set myself up for disappointment.

You’ll get downvoted to oblivion but most feel the same way. They just want to not admit it.

I hoping for a chance going into the 4th quarter. I think we lose by 2 scores. But they will do that in the 4th quarter. Hope I'm wrong but that's how I see it playing out. Anyways geaux tigers. Hope we pull it off.

The reality is LSU is going to stump a mud hole in Bama.

I don't get why so many fans think this Alabama squad is invincible. They almost lost to two average/below average teams in Texas & Texas A&M. Then the A&M game was in Tuscaloosa at that.

I don’t see them pulling away in the 4th. For the first time in years, we’ve been imposing our will on teams as the game goes on. And that’s with a still very short roster. It’s so obvious how much better our S&C is this year, and that gives me much hope for our future.

Expect a lot of penalties from bama. I don’t think they will be able to handle the crowd noise. LSU 34 bama 31.

Although Bama can beat just about anyone by 20 with their talent, I'd be surprised if we lose by 20 with the confidence we're playing with on offense right now and considering what's on the line.
Tenn was a recipe for disaster. Losing one of our best OL the day before, fumbling the kickoff and Kelly having a bad coaching outing with the decisions he made (4th down headscratchers and not playing Perkins).
LSU scoring 90 points in the last 2 SEC games is an eye opener. This team has a lot of weapons and I think the offense can really challenge Bama. Limiting damage by Bryce Young (and Gibbs) will be our challenge on D, but I feel better about our chances doing that with Perkins out there.

Whatever dude, worse teams than this have given Bama more than they bargained for. You guys are permanently scarred by Les miles.
We have a functional offense, we have a chance.
