Two key missing ingredients on this year‘s team are physical toughness and having an alpha male on the team

…. oh, and also having a head coach who the players respect and who knows what the frick he’s doing.

Agreed a football team needs to play as one, not a group of athletes drawing a check. I think Sumerall would coach that way

I wish LSU would not pay any player a dime. If they did that LSU would be the nations favorite team.

No, if they did that, they'd be the nation's shittiest team.

Say what you want about Miles but he had the big cat drill and in games, his defenses would thump people.

I believe I posted three years ago, that I wish LSU would not pay any player a dime. If they did that LSU would be the nations favorite team. I don't give a S--- if we would lose five games a year. Anything is better than this s--- show. Or, I could compromise. Every player no matter how far down the bench you are makes the same money. Lace's up and play the game.
this comment was dumb then and even dumber now. Doubling down on it is a bold strategy. You think losing 4 games to playoff teams is a shite season? Don’t pony up for players and enjoy being the punching bag to the entire SEC.

Kirby’s point went over your head. he’s not talking literally, he’s talking about a mentality. You think Georgia doesn’t pay their players

I think we land Kirby in a similar way that we landed BK. Totally out of left field from a place you think they’d never leave.

You kid, but there is an option that could be a very close parallel. The more I think about it and the more guys take themselves off the board, the more I’m interested in Schumann. I would rather have a guy who’s been an integral part of a Championship program with a guy like Kirby than a G5 projection who hasn’t like Sumrall. We saw it with Kirby when he left Saban. Again with Lanning getting Oregon back on track quickly. Schumann has that kind of ceiling.

If you want that same physical mindset here at LSU, if nothing else, he would definitely bring that with him.
