Never understood how the Saints have arguably a TOP 5 university in state and have down the road access to these players and coaches to get inside info on great players to never pas on. Nope our University of choice is Ohio State

They aren’t courting LSU players. They didn’t get a safety in the draft. Still no player drafted or free agent invited.

Andrew Whitworth was still on the Board and ready to go to the Saints right then and there. He would've been the Saints LT for all these years.

I think you missed the point Bubba. The Buckeyes are awesome to pick from I’m just one of many confused as to how there has never been a better in-state relationship between coaches and know certain players that are special in late as well as the obvious early rounds. I think it’s been a mistake.

ISTR when he came out he didn't want to go to the Saints, either to get away from bad influences or out of concern over being a target by certain elements in the community. I guess he has enough money, maturity and clout that it's no longer a concern.

It’s always been this way since Tom Benson got his feelings hurt when he was forced to play Saints games at Tiger Stadium post-Katrina when he wanted to move to San Antonio. There was one game in particular at LSU that the fans booed him vociferously. Sean Payton has just been carrying the company line all these years. Next best P5 for football players for Saints to draft has been OSU. Plus Payton Is from Big 10country.
