Like the mulligan we got in 2003? Or the TWO mulligans in 2007? The only two loss team in history to get a shot at the title.

If we were going 12-1 every year we’d get mulligans too.

Complaining about Bama getting special treatment does nothing to help LSU but neither does pretending it doesn't happen.

I see you don't know the meaning of the term mulligan.

Why shite on that title when LSU was clearly the most qualified contender and handily beat the #1 team?

I think you need to consider that Hines was the #1 rated offense guard but wanted to be recruited as a def lineman. He dropped over 20 spots. Rosenthal was a top 5 offense tackle and a 5 star recruit but switched to def end and dropped to a 4 star. Hines was a 5 star at off guard. Both of those kids are absolute studs on the offense line and don't be surprised if they move back.

Devin White gonna eat.

With the potential of that dline he will be free to fly all over the field.

Just going to need Chaisson and company to provide pressure in the passing game

Rosenthal needs to realize he could be a #1 overall pick as a LT. That man is absolute archetype LT.

Lawrence will break out this year. He seems like a really level headed kid and I could see him staying for his SR year. He will be an All American after this season.

Chaisson should really take a step forward as well. We need him to play up to his potential which is a freakish pass rusher.

We need some of the young linebackers to step up from last years class as well. Devin White should be absolutely unbelievable. He’s the player I’m most excited about. He will likely be the best ILB in college football next year.

Get ready to see Shelvin in the middle a LOT! He's just too good not to beat out Alexander

I have a feeling shelvin will struggle with endurance even more than Alexander. I wonder what he’s weighing in at. I hope to god he’s shed some of that 360 pounds he was carrying in highschool.

Big Ed has been injured to some degree going back to high school. He plays through it, but it sure would be nice to see him completely healthy.

Shelvin has yet to play big time college football and having to get used to playing at that level. As the other poster-William G just insinuated he will indeed struggle not only with his conditioning, but with his play against top level competition that isn't high school players that he's going up against anymore. Especially with that level of competition being SEC caliber players that he's going up against. He'll get better as time progresses on, but I don't expect much initially, early on, Alexander is a much better player at this stage that I'm looking for to have a break out season.

As I said in my first post, Alexander and Lawrence have great potential that if they stay healthy and play up to that potential can both destroy the SEC. NFL scouts will be drooling over the two if they play up to that potential. I've seen them dominate in spurts in some games last season, if they do that all season long, both should be All-Americans and Outland trophy finalists.

Yea pretty much how I feel. Shelvin might get 5-10 GOOD snaps a game unless injury’s happen. He needs to shed that baby weight.

He'll mostly be a backup this season, getting acclimated with college and SEC football, but he should start coming on towards the end of the season and should take over from Alexander and Lawrence going into next season. I look for Alexander and Lawrence to jump to the pros if both breakout this year, be nice to have one or both back for their last season though.

The one thing Shelvin has going for him is he's a RS freshman so he's had a year of strength and conditioning with Moffit and he's been able to participate in practices. It will certainly take time with him, but he can at least give meaningful snaps as a space eater and help with depth. Consider an OC having to push on Big Ed for a half and then comes in this big behemoth at 340-350 Lbs with fresh legs. That'll zap the life right out of you.

Yeah, LSU has some real behemoths this year, not only Big Ed and Shelvin, but the kid from Houston who's name I can't remember right now and Hines. Real brutes to block that will just absolutely wear down OLineman, plus, huge monster DLinemen Glen Logan and Dare Rosenthal, both at 320+ and tall at around 6'5 and above that can play either DE or DT. Lol

Yeah, that's it, and I left out Dare Rosenthal's name next to Logan's. But I also forgot Nelson Jenkins who will be another one to take notice with this coming season. Jenkins is an underrated kid who Saban wanted bad, he is explosive off the ball. LSU is loaded on the DLine like they've never been in a long time.
