LSU with is offensive problems and loss to a top 10 team or FSU with a loss to an unranked a opponent?

At least you keep after it with, shall we say, tenacity.

I would want to be in a position when LSU's defense plays it's hearts out and shuts UF out for nearly 40 minutes, that we have more than a 1 possession lead especially after that same defense gave the offense 1st and GOAL at the 6.

Why does it have to be either or? Why can't we want to be neither? Why can't we want to be Alabama or South Carolina, or any other team that doesn't have a bargain basement offense but still manages to field a good defense?

FSU with their "SEC like" defense and "high scoring" offense, as ESPN says, and they lost to an unranked team
Would rather be LSU
Would rather be LSU

I guess you missed South Car struggling to score against Vandy AND Kentucky.

Vandy was the first game of the year and they still scored more than we did against either of our SEC opponents, including an absolutely ABYSMAL Auburn team.
They scored 38 against Kentucky. They struggled for a time, but unlike this team they were capable of making adjustments to open up more opportunities.
SC isn't a perfect team, by any means, but they are a team that has been getting better year after year. They have an offense that is dangerous in both the passing and running games, so they can adjust if they are having trouble doing one or the other. They have the potential to be very explosive (see the Georgia game) and put up a lot of points by airing it out which makes it easier to use Lattimore later in the game to put it away. And their defense is very talented and hasn't suffered significantly from having a competent offense. All that, despite not getting the level of recruits that the top tier SEC teams do.
Every team will struggle on offense from time to time, but LSU struggles way more than a team with this level of talent should. 1TD in the past 3 SEC games, going back to the NCG? The only team EVER shut out in the NCG? Entire halves of play without a single first down? That's unacceptable.

This is a stupid question.

No surprise on either end. Last Fsu team worth a crap was 1999
