But the reason he lasted as long as he did was because financially, everything he touched turned to gold. You can loathe him, (as I do),and still recognize that revenue was through the roof.

Is that hard to do when tv revenue goes up and ticket prices go up because teams are good?

Alleva was good with facility upgrades. Terrible with coaching hires. LSU had no national titles under his watch outside of a golf title. Nothing

He was hired in April 2019
So basically he’s gotten 1 full basketball season and 0 full baseball seasons. And we lost a frick ton of revenue.
But people are pissed he isn’t buying out Fargas’s contract in a sport we lose money on and isn’t firing Paul Mid season and buying out his contract.

He didn't hire CPM, Fargas, Wade, or Orgeron. Gymnastics is a top 5 program Softball usually top 10.
He'll replace/retire CPM at the end of this year. Fire Fargas next season. Wade will probably hang around as long as we making the NCAA tourney, and provided he has no more recruiting scandals. Orgeron will turn it around, he's pretty good about learning from his mistakes.

Like hell! When Orgeron won the natty he increased his salary to $7 million and guaranteed it until 2026. This is the same stupid shite we’re dealing with for Paul Mainieri and the same stupid shite we dealt with for Les Miles.
No one in football wanted Orgeron as head coach even after the natty. There was no reason to give him that kind of money or that longevity. But here we are. In three years we are going to be clamoring for Orgeron to be fired, and we will have a $21 million buyout staring us in the face.
Yeah, Woodward had a major opportunity...and blew it.
