I think we win by a good amount. We are playing a 4 seed at Alex Box that was under .500 and had an RPI in the 230's. They are already a bad team as is and they are out of pitching. LSU has yet to use their two best relievers. There's legitimately no reason we shouldn't win by 5-10 runs.

But everything I just said was also true last night and we lost by 6 so what the hell do I know...

I’m feeling an Ole Miss-Murray State rematch type game.16-5

4 seed Murray State sent Ole Miss thru the losers bracket and Ole Miss responded by beating them by double digits last night. We just got punched in the mouth last night and this is about as David v Goliath a matchup as you can get. If we don’t stomp them today then that’s pretty sad.

It either is an ugly, sloppy game exactly like last night, or LSU beats the shite out of them. One extreme or the other basically.

For us to beat the shite out of them we'd be relying on their pitching falling apart and probably some defensive breakdowns too.

All bets are off given last night's humiliation. This Little Rock team has rocked the Box this weekend, and their lineup is a 1996-97 Tiger redux

It's going to depend on our offense. We're probably going to see a lot of 74 mph curve balls and 88 mph fastballs. We have to be disciplined enough to lay off the pitches out of the zone and take what they give us.

They are going to be throwing a lot of different pitchers out there and we've probably see a lot of them already. If we're patient, wait for our pitch, and put the barrel on the ball, we'll do okay. If we're swinging for the fences and trying to hit everything out of the park, we could lose.

We lost a super regional series against Stony Brook trying to play hero ball and their rag arms shut us down - they probably never threw a pitch over 90 mph.

Honest predictions for tonight's game?

We will win as we should have last night.

Jones will finally connect against this mid-week pitching and send one 450 and everyone will think he's out of his slump until we play WVU and he keeps swinging for the long ball with 2 strikes and runners on.

Pearson will play b/c Jay wants to shake things up. He'll get a double with no one on and the rant will celebrate him being clutch.

Reaves will start and kick a ball at third.

Stanny will get 2 hits and rantards will still say he should be benched.

Evans will go about 5 innings and allow a couple of runs and the board will melt that he's not any good.

Someone will connect on Cowan's change up and posters will claim that he's tipping his pitches.

Honestly believe that no matter who is pitching for LSU , UALR will come running out of the dugout swinging the bat . They won’t be picky about whether a pitch is close or not . Needless to say the “pitches” by LSU’s “throwers” last night were unreachable.

If Jay keeps that disjointed lineup the same with Jones batting 2nd, it’s going to be hard to overcome.

LSU should win easily.

If they don’t, they’re either a bad team or massively underachieving team or both.

This would be a 1/16 o 2/15 upset in basketball.

I will not give a prediction, baseball is too weird of a game to predict.

The 'talent' gap on paper makes the prediction obvious, but then things like last night happen, and baseball is a game of momentum.

I definitely will not predict this team to score 12 runs, and Little Rock is swinging the bat well.

If LSU gives up 4 or less walks then I say they win 6-4, if they give up 5 or more walks then we see the same outcome we saw last night.

If we get up on them, it’s going to get ugly.
