I don't know but it seems like destroying historical landmarks is unfair to the general public from an educational standpoint.

Needs to be seen as a reminder to future generations, that totalitarian governments are evil.

I imagine there will be some folks in this thread claiming this is some sort of unfortunate event

I couldn’t care less if Herr Hitler’s homes go up in flames.

Nothing says "I oppose totalitarianism" like cheering on the destruction of controversial historical sites.

But it is someone who embraces vandalism and arson and destruction. So definitely one of your people.

I mean, it's a pretty sweet pad.

Totalitarian governments are only bad for those not leading the thing. Teach your kids to be leaders.

It was a sentimental/symbolic asset to conquer. Hitler was already dead and the war was basically over by the time US troops set foot in it.

Once we looted the frick out of it, i wish we woulda burned it right then.

You’ve spent your whole miserable life on this website when you could have been completing 1,000 piece puzzles or documenting the largest collection of dust mites, yet all that sacrifice and you can’t even get one newbie from Arkansas banned off the site for hurting your feelings.

It’s so pitiful I might self ban myself out of charity.
