The bottom line is that it sucks and the fans doing the swimming motions look silly.

Im pretty sure that I heard the band play it in the Cap One bowl against Iowa. 1st time I heard it. But started playing it a lot more in 07(even during basketball)

It started in 2006. You can find a YouTube vid of the band playing it against Notre Dame in the Sugar.

I heard it was started after the South Carolina game in 2007 when the students were chanting: "you suck c##K" That was the last straw by the univ. From what I heard they were constantly chanting you suck between TD a kickoff for a few games and then took it to the next level.
Don't know if this is the true story or not just what I heard.

Just think LSu students were louder in years past. Maybe we were stupid then and thats all we knew. We yelled Geaux to hell Ole Miss each week.
But at least we went to basketball game sthen. I was the first student (Hell the only one) who camped out for the game when we won the SEC for the firsttime on 25 years in 1979.

How can they play Neck but not Tiger Rag? Think about it. Tiger Rag? What the hell is wrong with the Adminstration? Next thing you know the Purple and Gold flags will be gone.

well when the students find a way to curse during neck and embarrass the school they will take away neck too.
