You're kidding with this stuff, right?

A pitchers arm only has so many throws in it. I know it's April 1st, but don't be such a fool to where you think it's a negative on this kid if he does what's best for him and his future. To look at it any other way is a severely obtuse way of thinking. How would you feel if it was your son?

Is that similar to the scholarship commitment schools can take away?

This clown calling for Hess and Watson to stay was probably the dumbass that thought guice and fournette should stay too

Yep. I'm consistently against leaving early. I love college sports, and having elite upperclassmen is great for every sport.

But, their lives don't revolve around what's best for you or college sports. They should do what's best for them. I don't get what's so hard to understand about that.

In a team sport, success comes from putting the team before your own interests. Therefore, if I'm a fan of a team, I want the players to have that attitude so the team can be as successful as possible.

Putting the team first only applies during the season when you're apart of said team. In that case, I agree completely. But, teams change in the off season. People have to do what's best for them and their family.

I guess you get upset when players leave in free agency and don't give the hometown discount.

So you think that when Hess and Walker committed they didn’t know they would be draft eligible sophomores? They knew there was a chance they would only have to play two years.

Why is it only the really good players leave early for the draft? Why can't the scrubs be the ones that go?

The thing is, this isn't about you. Just like you had the decision where to go to school when you were 18 years old, these kids are also faced with a decision where you have to be selfish. This is their life. Every one of their team mates understand this. Their coach understands this. They lose leverage each year they remain in school. That leverage could be the difference of millions of dollars. If they don't make it to the major leagues, it's the biggest paycheck they will likely ever receive in their lives. It will benefit more than just them, but their family. And their primary duty is to provide for themselves and their family, not a duty to stay in college four years so the fans can watch them play.

How does that injury usually effect guys like Walker? I know it takes a while for guys to come back from, but Walker doesn't throw very hard anyway.

At this point, you're not a true pitcher until you've had TJ.

If either Hess or Watson was my son, I would advise staying four years and getting a college degree. Very few people make a career out of MLB. Just my opinion.

This argument makes zero sense and I see it all the time. You can go back to college at anytime but you only have a finite number of years to try and get as far as you can and make as much money as possible as an athlete.
