Archer was a young "up-and-comer" when LSU hired him.

Had a star quarterback who made him look like a genius. Sound familiar?

Dinardo
Started off with a great staff but, once he ran them off, replaced them with duds like Lou Tepper.

Not the nice guy he portrayed on TV. I wanted him fired after the 2012 National Championship Game.

Thank him for 2019, but he never, ever, should have been hired as the head coach.

Do not want. We can’t afford to take a chance on a guy who has never been a head coach at a major Division I program. He will be under enormous pressure to succeed. LSU doesn’t want to risk having to do this all over again in 3 years if he fails.

Of course need to keep the corruption in state. Not a shock the "one of us" Cheeri-Os are big Napier fans.

Napier is a very Jay Johnson hire when everyone wants Vitello. I would love the hire personally. Napier is a star on the rise.

Hard to get a clean perspective with such a heavy Louisiana bias. Pretty much the same bias that forced LSU to hire Coach O.

I'd much prefer Aranda or Kiffin over him.
No. Move along.

No lie, we could each get a trophy coaching this team.

I have 0 Louisiana bias and despised the Orgeron hire. I just happen to think Napier is destined for elite success. I’d prefer that be at LSU.

I am ALL in with Billy Napier! He’s already turned down HC jobs to at least 3 SEC teams!
We better offer him what he wants to get him to LSU…PLUS, he coached with Saban, Kirby Smart, Pruitt, Joe Judge, Rob Sale, Russ Callaway and the list goes on and on…. HE HAS ACTUALLY CALLED PLAYS….and had success!

This
He just happens to be doing very well at a school in Louisiana
He’s a top shelf coach imo

Another poster “nuttin for Napier” because of the “one of us” mentality

1000%, Yes.
Even if it exists at a G5 program.

Before a practice recently, a staffer who spent time at Alabama was asked how Napier and Saban differ. He thought for a minute, then another, then shook his head in defeat.
"One guy coaches offense and the other coaches defense," he says. "That's it."
I have no clue if above is true, but Saban and his process brought us out of chaos. It even withstood some dumbing down from an average coach to win a championship and almost another until Les went Full Les.
If Its true about Napier whether Napier can scale his process and coaching to LSU - both level of football play and money involved at LSU & SEC but also the politics and Board crap always plaguing LSU from either side of aisle - is still an unknown.
I would want him or someone similar over a Kiffin. We need a coach that can hire best available even if that includes some big & possibly problematic personalities at times and still be seen as the dominate figure in control of team and over those coaches. Working for Saban is seen as a way to rehabilitate image. Hopefully we have learned from O not to hire the problematic personality as our head coach.
Also a coach that is constantly pushing everyone towards getting football program better in every facet of program.
Saban’s constant looking was tiring at the times, but when getting new contract he always got upgrades on facilities & other programs or personal to help football team first and foremost. Les just kind of went with whatever he was told with facilities and so on.
Not sure if Napier or someone else, but when I hear Saban like with plans, process, hands on, and detail oriented I am on board. I am tired of the helter skelter coaching technique.

We have officially lost our minds. LSU is now settling on a USL Sunbelt coach.
How in the hell is that worse than hiring an OC who never called freakin plays before?
Napier has been around and played all positions. He has a damn good resume and turned down numerous Power 5 schools!
