It’s not biased or illogical to wonder if Justin McMillan is the savior some of you idiots think he is, why was he never better than third string or practice squad? Personally, I don’t give a damn if he starts and plays well, I’ll eat the crow. The savior of the team has been on the scout team for three years! Who knew?! The answer to all our woes has been right there going against the first team defense for three years!
But I’m VERY skeptical of his abilities even over the other two guys on our roster to be able to perform well. His ceiling is lower than the other two by miles.

Wait you are using Mett’s first year and third year in college as an excuse why he did beat out Jefferson or Lee but also using McMillan’s first year in college against him for not beating out Harris or Jennings. Seems legit no hypocrisy here
That's what they do.

I don't give two fricks who starts, I just want to win the SEC and compete for Championships

Know how I know you're full of it? If the QB leading us during the first half of the 11 season is one of the worst ever.....I wanna see the best.
JL was limited...but he was by far not the worst ever.

Pointing out that McMillan's high school success is irrelevant is not denigrating him.
If that was all that is being said about McMillan, you are correct sir . However, I'd hazard a guess that you know better.

Just curious, who do you feel is most capable of being the starting QB? And list your reasons why.

J. Lee was a top three Texas QB as well
He was having a good Senior year until he got ran over by Miles for his love child JJ. Always hated Miles for this.

What else is being said? People have doubts that are justified. He's a junior that has never played meaningful snaps for LSU and was the best of a mediocre bunch in the spring game.
So because many fans aren't completely sold on his ability yet, you start a thread calling them "haters". That's asinine.

Myles Brennan
All the pundits out there say our passing game or lack there of is what’s causing us to constantly lose the games we do. Myles Brennan has the most upside on this team to read defenses, make every single throw, throw receivers open, and be the stability we’ve needed to start scaring teams into not putting nine in the box.
With Narcisse and McMillan, we’ll see the same defenses we’ve been seeing for almost a decade now and have been doing horribly on. Nobody is scared of our running quarterbacks because we haven’t shown that we can be effective with a running quarterback.
It doesn’t seem to be too implausible to me to think that if we want to revamp our lifeless passing game that we should probably get the guy that gives us the best chance at having a better passing game on the field.

Even if you think they were bad, they are not even the 2 worst in the last decade.

Forgive me for deflecting the topic, but if this is the case then NO ONE knew. Or SOMEONE did, and screwed the pooch, and we are pretty certain who THAT might be (hint: he may no longer work for LSU OR he may no longer work for LSU in the very near future.)

That would be an incredible conspiracy up there with what happened at halftime on 1/9/12

Lee actually had a VERY good senior year, but people forget because of the Bama game:
104-167
62.3%
1306 yards
7.8 ypa
14 TD
3 INT
152.0 Rating
And I'm sorry, but Harris just wasn't good. Harris did worse at UNC than here, and Fedora is a good offensive coach who had developed Mitch Trubisky, the overall no. 2 NFL draft pick.
Well Harris had been mentally destroyed by Les Miles before he left LSU. Name one QB developed by Les Miles that was successful elsewhere. Miles was a QB killer for the most part.
Now let's compare Lee to Harris career stats at LSU:
Lee: Harris:
317-565 187-347
56% 54%
3949 Yards 2,756 Yards
7.0 YPA 7.9 YPA
32 TD 20 TD
21 INT 10 INT
Harris was just as good as Lee at LSU. Lee best year was his senior year. Harris did not have a senior year at LSU. Personally I believe both could, with proper development, been excellent college QBs. History says that development was not provided under Les Miles. Lee at USC, Alabama, or other pocket passing offense that developed QBs would have been a much better QB. Harris at Clemson, Ohio State, or Florida State would have been a much better QB. I mean starting their freshman years in the program. Not after their confidence had been destroyed under Miles. Remember the potential shown by Harris as a true freshman? And his soph year wasn't terrible.

And you based all of that on what? When did Brennan show those great attributes? Do you feel dual threat QBs are incapable of passing in general or just at LSU? Who had the better passing game on Saturday? Who was more effective on Saturday?

Well actually someone did know. A number of players have said McMillan was legit and could win the job, including Harris, Etling, Chark and Moreau.
