LSU would dominate and if the Big12 could form a Big12 Network we would make a killing. F**k the SEC and their incompetent commish.

I agree. Im sick of getting dicked over, year in and year out. Enough is enough. Get on opposite sides of Texas on the alignment and win out.

Everybody is a stepchild in the Big XII, lol except Texas is the stepdad. Which is why Nebraska, Colorado, TAM, Mizzou have left, Oklahoma is trying to get out and the others have no other options but to ride it till the end. ACC, SEC, and Big X laughed at feelers from WV yet Texas had no choice and now Houston wants in that conference. TCU had no choice as well to be a "big boy school".
So LSU should give up tradition, all rivalries, history, and most importantly money because they didn't like how they were treated in a looming hurricane. Sure that conference would take LSU in a heartbeat and give all kind of concessions. It would be a major coup for the 12(LOL) and the first good news they have had in this century. Oklahoma would replace us in the same heartbeat.
Then LSU fans could look forward to road trips in Ames, Waco, Lubbock,Stillwater, Morgantown, and the two Kansas schools. As stupid as perhaps the LSU Administration could be, I cannot see that happening.

we got 13 mil check from sec, could we make it up as an independent?
Posted on 10/6/16 at 6:50 pm to Jester
100% in. We are a founding member of the sec and no team in the country is treated worse. We pack our 100,000 seat stadium we have a great fan base we produce high drama exciting fb games and tons of money for this conference yet are treated like step children. Tons of examples so I'll give an easy one. We lose sec champ game in 05 and go to the peach bowl Uga loses same game and goes to the sugar bowl in exact same situation.

And that's just one of many slights. How about the SEC putting the Aggies over us and in the Cotton Bowl? We are even below the newcomers!

Lol. This has been sad but funny.

I am pissed off as the next but I would stop being a lsu fan if lsu left the sec for the big 12. Who the hell wants to play Kansas iowa state and all those shitty teams every week. Lsu football would be boring to me. Guess what texas and Oklahoma run that conference and it would be the same way. If you want to be a big power in the sec get a damn strong president and athletic director. Florida pulled that shite they did because foley is a powerful man. Bama does what they do because they have powerful people in there. With king Alexander and joe alleva we have pussies. Stop posting about leaving the conference because that makes us look like pussies.

I didn't realize that the SEC dictated who goes to what Bowl. I thought that was up to the Bowl Committee, based on specific guidelines.

LSU was suppose to go to the Cotton Bowl over A&M, but the Cotton Bowl wanted a&m v. Oklahoma for the $$$. The SEC worked out a trade which sent LSU to the chick fil a bowl.

If we had smart leaders we'd at least be leveraging the threat of going to the Big 12 to get better deals from the SEC.

If LSU was serious about joining the Big12, LSU would have enough leverage that we could come in and get whatever we wanted. Texas, Oklahoma, and the rest of the Big12 would roll out the red carpet for LSU.

If LSU were to go to the BIG 12 they would increase the amount of TV revenue coming in.......However; Texas would not want a power house coming in and taking over. They are having a hard enough time with aTm being successful and 3 other team better than them in the own state. TCU Baylor and Houston.

This!
I started a thread this morning about this exact topic and was downvoted into obivion.
We'd come to the table with leverage. I'm not suggesting we go in the current state of the conference but we'd negotiate equal TV rights and bowl payouts. I'd even advocate taking A&M and Arkansas back with us.
SEC has had a great run but believe it or not conference strength is cyclical. If we all left how strong does the SEC look then?

The SEC can eat a bag of dicks at this point.
Look, Tennessee has sucked for a good long while, and they are overrated now. Don't let a little undeserved success go to your head.
