Hey Alleva, you're on the clock now with everything you promised Coach Wade

Hey blind squirrel, you better keep that nut that fell into your lap happy.
Give Wade what he was promised, and more. And do it quickly. He's expedited the turnaound of this program. So make whatever's on his wish list top priority.

Dude, give Alleva credit for Wade.

It wasn’t Alleva, so no.

I give him some credit for pulling the trigger. But if not for Wade seeking out the job and Nunez brokering the deal, it never would have happened.
Alleva's top 2 choices for the job were Mike Brey and Eric Musselman. Luckily, they weren't interested.

Be more informed. Wade wanted this job, Alleva didn’t have to do shite to get him here.
We will find out soon enough what kind of AD Joe really is. The blue bloods of CBB are about to be knocking his door down.

Like UCLA.

Alleva needs to schedule a meeting the day after our last game and layout a plan that shows Wade he's giving him 2x of everything he asked for in 1/2 of the time. Make a financial commitment to this program like we finally did to football and see what happens.

LSU has more money than UCLA. Maybe not the prestige

And UCLA is a basketball school.

The list of promises made is like the secret playbook. No one knows what’s in it, or if it exists.

UCLA may be a blue blood by name, but they don’t spend money like a blue blood. If LSU gives him an extension for 3 to 3.25 mil/year, he’ll be one of the 10-15 highest paid coaches. UCLA isn’t matching that.
The only real “blue blood” threat at this point is Indiana if Archie Miller doesn’t turn it around.

But it is on Alleva now to take this opportunity as it's presented itself to capitalize on the promising young coach that seems a true talent and program builder.

Does LSU basketball even have a surplus to afford a raise?

I agree. I’m actually a bigger basketball fan than football. However, I think people mouthing off about tearing down the PMAC are a bit misinformed.
That’s not going to happen, nor should it. It should undergo a serious remodel along with other upgrades. Wade needs a raise soon, but he is not too far out of line of where he needs to be.

I get your point, but musselman is legit. Wouldve also been a solid hire

Athletics gives 30 million to academics every year. They can take from that for all I am concerned. LSU is one of the very few schools that robs from athletics.

Alleva did nothing but witness the contract signing.

Musselman is a good coach. But I'm very happy things happened the way they did.
