Yes, Daniels is missing some passes and he won’t throw 50-50 balls because he’s scared to throw a pick. However, denbrock is calling deep long developing plays (the receivers are all running off of the screen so 15+ yards down the field). The issue with that is the defensive strategy is literally “don’t get beat deep” so denbrock needs to adjust and call more quick plays like slants, hitches, etc. and those are easier passes for Daniels anyway.

Daniels won’t throw unless it’s to the primary receiver AND he the receiver doesn’t have anyone within 9 yards AND he doesn’t feel like running

Denbrock always does this shite in the first half. Realizes his dinosaur offense is garbage and goes to uptempo

Bruh. Your head coach is yelling at Daniels for not throwing to open WRs. Stop spreading this BS.

Real talk - this is the same issue Cincy had last year, just slightly different. Denbrock doesn’t know how to get the ball down the field to receivers. Granted JD isn’t the best down the field passer, but at least gotta give the appearance we can stretch the field to loosen up the D.

Also, we called a ton of quick passes to start the game. The problem is that Auburn knows Daniels won't throw it down field, so they pressed and played close to the LOS and defended those plays well. So, we adjusted by calling longer routes that Daniels refuses to even attempt.

I just cannot understand the targets. Why is 86 receiving more targets than ANY of your receivers.

No. You have crossing patterns and a QB who can anticipate and throw into the gaps of the zone.

We don’t have that.

And our receivers never got open during those plays?

He does not make anticipatory throws. If a wr is not clearly wide open, he’s not throwing it.

He plays qb like I did on tecmo bowl. Look for the man not covered or run.

1. Probably because the right side of the offense is nullified because JD won’t go through progressions. He looks left 95% of the time and doesn’t look right unless he’s flushed out of the pocket.
2. He’s scared to throw a INT so unless you have 3-4 steps on a db you aren’t getting targeted. He can’t see or throw a receiver open or hit timing routes that well. Plus he lacks finesse on short passes. Id be pissed if I were a receiver.

I think we should just run more 2 minute drills. We're always good at the end of the half. Don't run it all of the time, but mix it in some.

Dude if the defensive strategy is literally don’t get beat deep but you keep trying to beat them deep instead of taking what the defense gives you they aren’t going to be open

I refuse to believe that this could still be an issue when it’s been shown time and time again to not be effective.

Did I miss where Daniels was executing the short routes? He can barely hit Mason Taylor with 7 yard throws.

Amen. Short, quick, drags, etc. and get the ball to #80 over the middle.

Kelly has yelled at JD multiple times for not throwing the ball downfield. He won’t go downfield. It’s not that they are covering it so well. We have literally not thrown one deep ball yet.
They are jamming short routes. And if it is open JD is inaccurate usually.

None of what you said is true
