Anything can happen, but this one appears to be a BS rumor inflamed by people who want to appear they have knowledge.
All the real LSU insiders say they’ve heard nothing, while anonymous posters say it’s a done deal.

that and probably some aggy fans that are inflaming some of our fans "chicken little" syndrome. some LSU fans think the aggies have all the money in the world but they don't realize two things....
1-their endowment is not for athletic puposes
2-they have to "pass the hat" just like all other schools when it comes to coaches salaries, capital improvements, etc.
they have a larger alum base than most schools and they are tired of losing. but they have passed this hat for 500 million for their rebuilt stadium, for sumlins pay increase to 5 million and for sumlins guaranted lump sum buyout of 10 million that had to be paid within 30 days of canning him. and the assistant coach buyouts. not to mention the 2.5 million xtra they are paying Jimbo every year.
if they are that hell bent on fiscal irresponsibility there isn't anything we can do. it would be stupid to drive up salaries any higher since they have so many alum and can outbid us. they hate us worse than we hate them.
i'm surprised the SEC comish hasn't stepped in and admonished them for their ridiculous contract with fisher. spiking coach salaries that much is not in the best interest of the SEC. if they steal an assistant already making 2 mil/yr with a buyout that is over the top big time.
that being said, I think Aranda stays.

I'm not saying A&M is getting Aranda, but considering they haven't named a coordinator still, and there has been no chatter, it means they are likely going to hire someone who still has a team playing...

Jimbo has aligned himself as the next Saban to try and hold LSU back. I hold him in the same regard now as I do Saban. Traitor. If any coach from LSU leaves to go with these two I would hold them in the same regard. Do you think Dave Aranda would turn against LSU? Really?
