Look guys , I'm upset that we didn't land Herman or Jimbo. Im upset that they didn't let coach Miles go at the end of last year like any decent AD would have done. Allevas actions over the last few years have been inexcusable and immature. With that being said I'm still a tigers fan through and through , and we need to show these young men our support even through these dark times . We have actually done well recruiting these last 2 years considering the amount of buffoonery going on. We still have talent all over the field , and we will still field a team that can play with pretty much anyone in the land. If we can lock up Canada or Helfrich we're gonna be alright . I'm not expecting an elite program over these next few years but things could be worse . We need to just take a deep breath and remember that things will get better , Saban and the tides reign will come to an end eventually. Let's just be thankful we aren't ole miss , Arkansas , or Tennessee.

I still see a lot of potential in this years class If we can land Narcisse , Brennan, Akers , Marvin Wilson , and possibly a few surprises . I'm sure we won't get them all but we are still looking at a top 5-7 class imo.

We have horrible leaders at the top running the show.

It's going to get a lot worse.

My thing is - there were so many people on here that wanted us to give Les "one more chance" at the end of last year. I remember it being the majority and being really frustrated about it. Where are all those people now? Is it just hind sight and now everyone has come to the light?

If you were the AD here and bungled your legacy and the future of LSU by failing to hire Herman, the man who whipped Saban, Fisher, Stoops, and Petrino, you would be just as big a fool as Alleva is.

If we had hired Herman/Applewhite and reunited him with Aranda, who thinks he is the finest offensive mind in the FBS, this place would be buzzing with energy and hype. Instead we are bottom feeding and full of uncertainty and have recruits leaving rather than fighting to get in.

Herman fit the Bertman model: young, smart, young kids, great family, and for certain he could have built a dynasty to crush and outlast Saban.

Herman on the cost of winning championships: "In order to pay the price, you've got to be willing to invest. Guess what? There's prices for nine-win seasons. There's prices for eight-win seasons and seven-win seasons and six-win seasons. Those prices are a lot easier to pay. And if you're satisfied with going 7-5 and going to the Poulan Weedeater Bowl, you're in the wrong program. We are into building championships here."

We're horribly short sighted in Louisiana. It's been the same way since the 80s, at least.

Well we just locked in a six to seven-win per season head coach's salary at a program with 10-12 win season expectations. Way to set O up for colossal failure.

I'm with you. LSU lucked out when we hired Emmertt. He knew to hire a search firm/consultants when he hired Saban. Joe Aleva I'd either a puppet or the worst AD in history. I agree with others who have said we haven't hit rock bottom yet. But when we do, hopefully the money will clean house and we will hire a progressive chancellor and a bad arse AD to rebuild another Golden Age of LSU Football. Until then, I'll pull for the players who stayed home and tiger bait the ones who leave...

Was Curley our last coach to wear a tie on the sidelines? I think he was.
