no one knows because no schools have been willing to give him an oc job for 20 years. doesn't inspire confidence.

I agree 100%, but I have no confidence that this will happen. Every time LSU went 3-4 wide and threw quick passes out of the shotgun, success was had. Immediately after a successful drive, the philosophy was scrapped. If that system would be implemented as a base plan, then I believe that Brennan could make it work. If Coach Coonass and the Geriatric Gunslingers are adamant about an i-formation, running in to a wall offense, then the season will get ugly quickly.

That is why Alleva is involved. He showed him how to Google and Steve enters the information in to the Etch a Sketch.

Also at Auburn he help develop Jason Campbell who was a First Round Draft Pick.

That's funny. Jason Campbell gives all the credit in the world to Al Borges. He was a pretty bad/average until his senior year when Borges took over.

Anyone ever consider that SE struggled vs. BAMA was because BAMA was flat out better?

Regarding Florida it seems to me our O had a lot of yards. Guide blew that game running the wrong way.

They will be better for awhile. That is why an explosive/ creative coordinator is needed to give us a chance. When there is a talent disparity, the difference is coaches disguising weaknesses and being unpredictable.

The Florida game should have never come down to a last second play. Have to score points and that has been a problem for LSU. Major change is needed, not comfortable picks.

E wants a RPO driven offense which will operate out of multiple fronts including spread, shotgun, power, pistol, etc. Likely, the plays will be similar out of each set in terms of scheme, but the multiple fronts will cause the confusion. E prefers intermediate passing with play action shots downfield. Use the run out of multiple fronts including QB runs to open up opportunities.

Against Bama, you have to spread the field, run/ pass quiclky to the outside, and attack the middle of the field with the passing game. Formation should be shotgun, so the field can be seen and passes can come out quicker. Their only weaknesses have been their defensive backs and their linebackers trying to cover backs on quick routes.

I don't get it. He says he wants a pro style quarterback, so this weekend he's hosting a dual threat quarterback

We got a glimpse last year arse wipe and except for Bama game he was damn good. I don't want to hear no shite about bad defenses either, Canada had bad defenses to play against and I didn't see him set records. I'm not saying I want O to hire E but if it boils down to that, he just has to find a better game plan against Bama and everybody needs a better game plan against them.

Apparently it's going to be a "USC pro-style, power-running game" type offense. That's what O now says he wants.

No you didn't and the fact you think you did makes you the asswipe.

You got a glimpse of Coach E calling SOMEONE ELSE'S offense.

It truly is sad how few of you understand that being an OC is more than play calling and prepping the week before the game.

THere's been 3 articles posted in this forum about SE. 2 of them discussed the types of offenses he's used in the past. DandyDon also talked about it. Search is your friend.

Look at Ensminger's bio, it's absolutely poo as an OC/QB coach.

Campbell had 4 different OCs, and was only good in 2004 (the year AFTER Ensminger was QB coach).

He wasn't even the OC at UGA, he was the QB coach/ passing game coordinator. He did nothing of note at TAMU.

I think 0 wants to be fired.

Hey moron, it's all about scheme, prepping, play calling, player utilization , formations and having a feel for what's best to call based on what looks your getting on defense and what they do after the snap. Freaking Clueless

I'm going to give him a chance to prove himself.

Remember win Les hired the Cam, a proven OC and a dud at LSU.

Cam quits, Ensminger takes over, and with the exception of the Bama game, LSU offense was 100% improved.

This stuff is not only out of my hands, but I also know that I, along with probably at least 90% of the people that post here, aren't qualified to evaluate and select an OC.

I hope Ensminger proves everyone wrong, not because I'm a fan of E, but because his success will mean LSU success.

If he's a dud, I say run SE, EO, Aleva, and FKing off next year.

Solid arse post right here but 5 down votes? Why? Down voters explain your disagreement?
