Early Doucet will play against Kentucky.
We think Alfred Blue will return to health this season.
Flynn will start against Middle Tennessee.
We believe that Zach will return to health for the bowl game.
We will have an open competition for the quarterback position.

Most believe, just based off of the nature of recruiting, that Strong knew Fowler wanted to commit to Texas, but told him to hold off committing till NSD.

Me, being jaded when it comes to recruiting and reading the story about FSU and Manuel, believe he told him to lie to the LSU coaches as well about where he stood.

Uh....he is being sorta honest now....dishonest beforehand. I do understand though when people say it is all part of the shitty game.

yeah but that was really on ryan's end... it wasn't like miles was telling him to lie to texas. saban left and miles had a month to field a signing class.

That's the exact same thing Fowler did. Read what I wrote earlier. Reread the article. The article strictly said he didn't want the recruits committing to Texas until National Signing Day. He told them to wait.

Once again, point me to the dishonest part...

Exactly. This is Janzen Jackson 2.0. frick these snot nosed kids that want to do things thins way. That's why the kids like Savion, KT2 and others should be applauded. Commit and sign and move on. To hell with the drama.

Exactly.

LSU knew UT was after him hard, if we didn't know to shite-talk Texas after the season they had, then we are the dumbasses.

But it does sound weird he just wouldn't let fowler commit if he wanted to. The kid should of just committed to UT a couple weeks ago, and our coaches should have been looking at other options when they see the kid is probably wavering.

Coaches shouldn't trust these kids. Some reports you know are fabricated about some players flirting with other schools, but this one was as obvious as it gets.

Lastly,

If this were the norm, recruiting would be 1000 times worse of a shitshow than it is now.

damn Fowler's aunt was really blowing the bullshite. Sad that that goes on in recruiting though its a dirty game. I hope Texas crashes and burns although I think they are gonna be on the upswing coming up. Good thing we play them in a couple years we can show them on the field.

So him telling them not to flip prior to signing day and maintain a faux commitment to another school is honest? Hope I don't ever have to business with you.

Posts like this convince me there are truthers for every position in the world. Further, can't we just agree that it was shitty when Perilloux did it too. It isn't like he is some great person. When he was at LSU, he was a total prima donna dickhead.

I didn't see where Strong suggested that a kid commit to another school and then de-commit.

I know. I just think it is funny that everyone thinks Miles is such an honest straightforward guy when he lies tons of times a season to everyone. Miles deceives routinely on behalf of the program.

That being said, I don't think I'm entitled to any truth about injuries or whatever, but just because I'm not entitled to it doesn't mean he should lie about it. He just shouldn't comment on availability if that's the way he wants to be.

Another team who should be POed is Bama. Smart not only stole half their coaches but several recruits. The recruit stealing thing happens a lot to teams whose coaches move on every year. Maybe their should be a rule about coaches who have recruited a player a year or two going after same recruit after going to another school. If this happened to LSU I would be totally POed

Everyone's frustrations should be directed towards Fowler. Fowler should have followed in the footsteps of Texas commit Jordan Elliot who decommitted from Michigan prior to NSD.

Fowler should have decommitted to let the LSU fans know where they stand. Because I've got more than a hunch the LSU coaching staff knew about it.

LSU staff did not know before watching him commit on periscope.

Everyone he flipped yesterday was already committed. By telling them not to announce they were going to Texas before NSD, that's exactly what he did. He didn't tell necessarily tell them to commit and then not sign, he just told them not to tell the schools they were currently committed to that they changed their mind.
