Do you really think the 107 ranking is primarily due to coaching?
We have more talent on our offense than arguable every team we've played, except for maybe Florida or Bama.
So if they're not performing, yea, it's on the coaches.

not too many offenses are geared towards inexperienced QBs coming straight in and lighting shite up. Especially in the South with our preponderance of HSs with "athlete" type QBs that just run around and use their legs and thrive on broken plays.
Someone will come into this thread and say matt barkley and i will say "started 4 years in high school in a sophisticated pro style offense"
Stanford QB???
And please don't try to use the PAC 10 defense vs SEC defense to explain the difference between like 20th and 107th in the nation.

Actually it was his 2nd year that he dropped off, which is exactly what happened. The reason it didnt get more attention was because the defense sucked major balls last year
Could this have a little bit to do with the stats from 08 and 09?

About 20%.....The other 80% has come from predictability

Yeah that's it. I'm sure none of the other 100 plus teams ranked ahead if LSU are starting a soph QB
I can't wait until Crowton gets a 5th year senior QB.....then look out....2012 here we come!!!

Total Offense
2007: 439.43 yards per game
2008: 368.08 yards per game
2009: 310.00 yards per game
I am not defending Crowton, however, in 2007, we had a senior QB, and 4 first round draft picks...
In 2008...we have a Harvard transfer and JL as the starters at QB
This year, JJ is the starter as a true soph with 2 starts under his belt...Look no further than the QB to see the problems.
with that said, I would like to see a new OC next year

Then why are there so many other teams "breaking in QBs" who are ranked WAYYYY higher than like 107th???
Cause they have an OLine that can either protect the QB or open running lanes? Our OL has trouble with both.
Football 1 says QB and OL are BY FAR the most important aspects of offense. When you are inexperienced in one area and simpley poor in the other, you get a bad offensive team.

Well, I can't wait until we get a formidable running game and Jefferson learns to pull the trigger a bit quicker.
You totally underestimate the tangible issues that occur when your OL can't block or protect and you ask an inexperienced QB to make plays.

BTW, that 2009 Soph QB is playing better than the 2007 Senior QB
Um, no.

fantastic
because obviously our schedule is equivalent to Stanford's schedule

;o) are you REALLY Craig FergusoN, are you "THE" Craig Ferguson, the one, the only

we've had this problem before. Remember Mauck's first year to start? Then in 04? We were still able to ram the ball down their throats.
Now we can't run OR pass.
Now we can't run OR pass.

according to cbs sportsline LINK
Stanford has the 71 toughest schedule
LSU has the 47th toughest schedule
but I wasn't really talking about the schedule itself but the defenses on the schedule
