Honestly I’d rather 3 star players they go 110% every snap to prove their pro potential rather than the blue chip 5 stars who are first round locks out of highschool

Then you should go cheer for Mississippi State, or Oregon St., or SMU, or damn near every other team in college football that never comes close to playing for a championship. Those teams are LOADED with your kind of guys.

But hey, if you would be happy with LSU playing in the Liberty Bowl every year, then let the 3 star influx begin!!!!!

Merely my opinion, but this is exactly what I believe is going on.

That’s fine, but you then have to acknowledge that this means he’s actually injured and would miss time due to that injury no matter what.

In other words, we are talking about the distinction between him missing, say, 2/3 of the remaining season and risking re-injury or poor recovery vs. missing the entire season and getting the issue fixed.

That is not at all the same thing as “opting out” like many have suggested.

Then a jerk off like Kiper or Detillier goes around raves about him hoping that some GM doesn't realize that Stingley has not really done shite since January of 2020

This statement showed exactly how incredibly stupid you are. You really believe, even just the slightest bit, that NFL GMs are basing a single thing on what fricking Mel Kiper says? WOW!!!

Without knowing the injury, it’s difficult to comment. If it’s lis franc, that’s one thing, if it’s a badly sprained ankle, it’s another.

I mean the fact that he is having surgery is pretty telling. They generally don’t just do surgery for a sprain. How many people have had surgery just to have an excuse?

The rant will tell you that Stingley is having surgery as an excuse to quit.

Let that sink in, he wants out of LSU so bad that he is willing to be put under and cut on to fix an imaginary injury just to not have to play football for LSU.

If he had wanted to play this season that surgery would have been done 4 months ago

So, using your logic, he should have gotten the surgery for the injury BEFORE it occurred?

Now that's the forward thinking this football program is missing.

I’m very much appreciative of the effort and skill he showed in 2019.

He got his ring in 2019. Now he’s saving himself for the NFL. I hate it, and I don’t understand that mindset, but I get where he’s coming from with this decision..

I don't much care if he plays or not. I remember him making some plays a couple of years ago on a team filled with great players, but nothing afterwards to speak of. Hope he has a nice NFL career.

The reason many LSU fans are considering it probable or potentially likely that he’s just quitting is because of 2 things:

1) several LSU players did that just last season.

2) most importantly and pathetically was his father goi no out publicly discussi no and even threatening it.

No offense as he may be injured and this is legitimate, but people questioning him is on the pathetic behavior of his own father.

Let’s be honest here. The fuel to this fire is his dad coming out and saying that he could shut him down if he wants to. Without knowing the injury, it’s difficult to comment. If it’s lis franc, that’s one thing, if it’s a badly sprained ankle, it’s another.
if these athletes could have agents they’d same the same damn thing.

Finally! After all of the blind discussion, a doctor has seen the X-Rays and knows the true story.

You HAVE seen the X-Rays, right?

You ARE a doctor, right?

Why is our fan base a joke? It's like every other fan base. They're all pretty much the same.

One of the dumbest things I’ve read on this site haha. He should’ve shut it down and not played at all this year. He’s going to be a top 10 pick if he’s healthy, the kid should shut it down for sure, have the surgery, get healthy, and make his millions. He definitely didn’t quit.
