Jimbo said it himself, it's the administration over the athletics dept that he wasn't comfortable with.

FKing was nothing more an the messenger boy for the board . JBE happened to mention that in light of the fiscal situation where he would be cutting int higher ed, it would look to the outside tat whereas we we can't find enough money to keep the University overall running we could damn sure afford to pay a guy not to work, donate money to FSU for Jimbo's buyout and pay a new coach 7 million a year
I know and JBE knows that Tiger Athletics is separate from the University, but I'll wager that most in the state do not.
The lesson from all of this is that if you are going to fire a guy....FIRE him!!!!!!!!! Don't go looking for his replacement and when his replacement spurns you, then you give th guy you were going t fire his job back.
Then you compound the stupidity of firing the guy you were going to fire but gave him his job back in the middle of the season. No big name will come to work for you with a boss like that.
Why most of the rantards don't understand all this.

Yeah I see the SEC West becoming a 3-headed monster with Auburn and TAMU being the two smaller heads behind Bama.
Our fanbase is too fricking arrogant to think that TAMU can't pass us up. It's about to happen. Only then will people see how badly we fricked up with Orgeron.

That's not the point.... he has made the same negative over and over and over... we get it... just like his posts about Miles... anytime someone says anything bad about Miles, here he comes with the same crap over and over and over... I am not happy with the hire and don't see a bright future the next few years... but I am not gonna just look for pure negative crap just to do it.... from day one since the hire he has been doing it... he says it was a horrible year... talking about the schedule and crap... we had no clue how the teams on schedule would end up at start of year... it's easy to look back and posts other teams record.

At the end of the year..... you think Kentucky or Vandy fans would be acting this way with a 9-4 record???? Miles had 9-4 records and got crucified for them.... bottom line is that LSU fans are spoiled and think they are entitled since 2003.

You should post a link to show everyone how guys like Rickdaddy or whoever, were complaining about how easy the schedule was before the season started. I don't think you'll have much luck finding these kind of posts.
At the beginning of the year, no one knew for certain that teams like Florida, Tennessee, BYU and a few other teams we played would all have such bad seasons. No one knew for a fact that all the teams that fired their coaches before, during or after the season were going to do so. I posted this exact same thing to in a post to you a couple of days ago. Nobody bitched about how weak the schedule was because nobody knew it would be so weak.
By the time November rolled around, it was pretty obvious how easy of a schedule LSU had for the year. By that time, there were a few posters bringing up that fact.
After the season was over, lots of people have chimed in about the lack of quality teams LSU played, myself included.
We can't complain or comment on something like playing a weak schedule until enough facts are in to prove that it was a weak schedule.
Seems pretty simple to me.
