I don't hold any animosity for him for that, it's part of the game. BUT, I also think whats happening now is in part due to how he treated that situation.
He played a dirty game and LSU felt they had Fisher locked up then but the board was split, so they offered Miles but was prepared for him to say no.
Now, he is the recipient of the same type of power move. They've built in enough buyouts and people knew this was coming (Chavis wanted more on his buyout) and Aleva said no. He knew this day was coming and has been waiting since 2012 for a reason.

I haven't seen many, if any classless posts. I saw one "F*** Les Miles" thread, and that was it. Quit getting butthurt because we're not laying down a bed of roses for someone who is about to be fired (or retire before he's fired)

I don't hold any animosity either - except for towards Alleva. The only point is "great guys" don't hold their own programs hostage. I refuse to act as if he is somehow morally superior.

He's has been paid millions while here and will continue to get millions after leaving. All this heat comes with the territory of being a big time coach. He won't have to work another day in his life and his family will still be set for life. I only feel sorry for people that actually have to worry about bills being paid that get fired. Miles has been shown more than enough respect during his time here.

Oh is that what it was? I thought it was his epic and nationally acclaimed rant about "kissing them on the mouth, if your a girl" that gave sealed his contract extension. Silly me.

Absolutely! He deserves our respect. Les just got burned out. And there may be a health issue involved. Stay classy for a classy man!
