Palmer, Kirklin, Wire and Jenkins to name a few more.

Definitely no defensive players that’s for damn sure. Most of them have regressed.

Jenkins has really been a great surprise. He's been looking great on the field.

No one on defense though, they've gone backwards. I really thought Stevens would lead but he's not playing like he did last season. I'm not dumping on him but it's noticeably different.

Ojulari has been a beast on defense. He is impressive. That’s about it

That’s actually not true. Ricks has been solid and Roy and Ojulari have definitely improved, as they should being highly rated freshmen. That’s just not nearly enough and several guys have regressed in the new scheme.

The title of the thread is have any players improved this season? As in improved from last year. The 3 you mentioned while they have been good, were not on the team last year. Therefore no, no defensive players that were on the team last year have improved. They have all regressed.

Improvement from the beginning of this season until now is just as applicable to the way that question was phrased.

I find it funny that you can entertain the idea that EVERY guy on defense is worse. That's so obviously unlikely I'd think you would dismiss it out of hand and look for another explanation.

If 11 guys walked into a room, and every single one slipped and fell, you would probably think, "That's 11 clumsy guys." And you would walk right into that room and fall on your arse. I would assume the floor must be slippery.

Marshall probably improved his draft status because he is the stand out on the team. Last year he was sharing the stage.

That is not the way that I interpreted it nor most in this thread. Point is literally no one that was on the team last year that plays defense has improved. Stevens, Clark, Flott, Ward, Farrel, Stingley to name a few, are all worse.

Actually if I had to name one guy that was on the team last year that has improved, even if slightly, it’s Baskerville.

Thank god for the new guys you mentioned or else they would be historically bad.

I think Gilbert is a bit more rock 'em - sock 'em since opening day. He's got some swagger going..

The biggest has to be Jaray Jenkins and Myles Brennan. Hard to say anything good about the defense except how good Ojulari is going to be in year 2 with another 15 lbs of muscle on him.
