I think there has always been an overreaction to O's hire by a segment of our fans. they closed their minds about him immediately and probably won't change their minds no matter what.

I have always thought the man was going to be better than what these negative yo-yo's have been shouting. will he be good enough to keep? i'm not sold yet but it looks he knows a lot about the game of football and has a good eye for talent. he also has one attribute that I really like; when he recognizes a weakness, he acts on it to correct it. he has shown me that in picking up JUCO's, transfers, recruiting for needs (over class ratings) and firing Canada.

he sure isn't perfect but I think he will keep our level of talent high and will be a good HC. who the hell knows his ceiling? we'll see.

Still haven’t bought in. Auburn should tell us a lot about the real tigers.

Went for it on 4&1 twice and got the 1st down. Game still in the balance on both calls. Don't need to change my mind about O's cahones.

I respectfully disagree with this, I am more angry about how the search was conducted, even extending back further to the Miles debacle in 2015

That is just incompetence from the higher ups

No, it’s the O haters that act like the mentally ill libtards on the poli board.

Man, you sure seem like a real positive guy.

The mentally stable people of this board are capable of being excited about a big win and keep it in perspective. I see a lot of positivity on here today - it's pretty much across the board - and really the only negativity I see is from people like you flipping their shite with all of these fake "I told you so"s or provoking people they perceive to be "haters" or whatever. For as much as you people harp on this idea that "negatigers" get mad after wins, this seems a bit hypocritical.

C'mon man. Let's be a bit realistic here. If he gets to a NY6 bowl this year, that's a good season.

1st quarter was a shite until we got things straightened out, quit to early with the lead, gave up to many big pass plays on def, would have liked to see the offense keep the foot on the pedal because in two weeks we have auburn. Not having that cutthroat mentality we let Miami have a little life in the end which elite teams don't do

Um, because he won a game?

What about the Florida game 2 years ago and the ND game last year? 2 games a better coach would have likely won.

What about the offensive coordinator hire?

Absolutely not. Now if he goes 11-1 or better this season, I will be 1st in line to change my mind.

I'm not sure what you are seeing different than me. We finally have a qb that's not inaccurate and can read defenses. That alone is a huge upgrade over Miles. CEO has the d line back to where is should be. I could go on and on about the improvements on the team from where we were 3 yrs ago.

The media and fans were ignorant in there hate for this team. How they could not see this defense was going to be special is beyond me. We have the talent and coaching to do big things this year.
