Not worth getting into this after a good win, but I'd like to hear all of this logic at the end of the season.

Its early. I like O, but not sure of his coaching abilities in the SEC and if he can win the big one.
We shall see.

I'm not sure what you are seeing different than me. We finally have a qb that's not inaccurate and can read defenses. That alone is a huge upgrade over Miles. CEO has the d line back to where is should be. I could go on and on about the improvements on the team from where we were 3 yrs ago

All of these improvements have to eventually manifest themselves in the win-loss tally.

Don't tell me about all of these improvements if we're not a better team as far as wins and losses go. What's it all worth if you can't compete for championships or you're not taking measurable steps in that direction?

Exactly, which is why we need to let the season play out. Until we see it over multiple games, they are just changes. Great start though.

Can't say I've noticed then starting too many threads. I'd ask for links, but that's turned out to not do much with y'all

I haven't changed my opinion of him and his coaching abilities yet. It was a good win, but it's only one game. We saw this same thing happen last year. Beat the shite out of team to start the season, only to find out, that team (BYU) was a really bad football team.

I have my doubts about Miami being a team worthy of being in the top 10 after watching last night's game.

Like others have said, o needs to continue to win games. One game doesn't mean squat. Let's see how the season plays out before crowning o coach of the year.

I question some decisions over the past couples years but I have supported him and the staff until proved completely wrong.

It's just one game so I think the others need a larger sample size of success to come around. Understandably so, just wish they weren't negative and wishing we lose games just to get rid of O.

If this nonsense went away, it would go a long way to fans getting along better. Only a few idiots said this and everyone gets lumped into this category forcing people to defend themselves.

Still an O negative.

But I have and will continue to defend him if I see an unfair criticism.

I completely understand this and was pissed also; more about losing Fisher than Herman. but that was fricking 2 years ago. time to move on man.

That is just incompetence from the higher ups

it seems like it but we really don't know exactly what happened. yes, there is a narrative that most buy in to. once we lost Fisher I was really, really pissed. I don't like Herman and it seemed there wasn't a really great pool available unless we went with an unproven guy that was just "hot" at the time (which is how I characterize Herman). I've been around a long time and coaching searches do not work out most of the time. they are very risky; look at Michigan, notre dame, usc, texas and yes, even alabama. and what's worse today is the cost of making a bad hire. in my day, the HC got a few hundred K and now it's tens of millions. all to fail.

I hope O succeeds but in our world that means no less than SEC championships and playing for and winning at least one nattie. not many coaches can do that. in fact, there are only 4 active coaches today that have won a nattie and only 2 have won more than one. not to depress you but I don't think Orgeron is going to join that club and I don't know who the hell is capable of joining that club.

why not?

they can certainly declare O the worst decision LSU has ever made and call him an idiot before he is even given a chance to field his own staff for a season
