Hate to say it but next year was always our potential playoff year

We should be returning 17-18 starters. The schedule is much more favorable. I hate to talk about next year already but it was and is the year we have a shot at the Playoffs. This year was and is fools gold for the first 5 games. Many could see this so I’m slightly shocked over the hardcore melt

Next year we go to Bama against what will be a monster with Tua. We are also at Texas. Schedule is better otherwise but beating Bama in tuscaloosa with this coach? You’re not getting to the playoffs otherwise.

If you go 11-1 with only a loss to Bama, you're in. Especially with a win over Texas on the road.

I'm glad you think next year is "the" year. Because when we lose 3-4 games, you better be calling for O's head.

Isn't this kind of contingent on how the rest of this season goes? I mean, if we end up 8-4 and in a mid-tier bowl, I doubt most people are going to shrug that off and start thinking playoffs in 2019.

not really sure why a lot of people on this board are saying this. We are losing our best players/leaders on defense next year in white, greedy, larwance, and fahoko and at least 2 off our o line. I think we are worse next year, on top of that UGA is going to dominate next year, don't see us beating them even if we somehow get past Bama to the sec championship.

So next year when we have less depth on Defense and lose our stud Kicker is when our potential playoff year is?
