Games like yesterday are more ideal. We recover quicker (aside from the late start), are less likely to have injuries for starters, and help with recuiting. We would prefer to have a demoralized Ole Miss doubt their ability before the game even starts and we steamroll them. We don't want a chippy game. Who cares about a top 10 matchup? We'll have like 5 of those to end the season if we win a title. You want the easiest path there first.

No, it won’t. It would be largely anticlimactic. LSU crushes a bad Ole Miss team, whoopdie doo. But whatever. None of it really matters in the grand scheme of things.
